*A week later* I walked into the small café and ordered the usual from the girl behind the counter. It was a cold day in December and I had just gotten the worst news I could ever get. I grabbed my coffee from the counter and put a tip into the jar. I turned around and excused myself to young man behind me as I walked to a table in the corner and sat down. I took out my laptop from my backpack to get started on the exam that was due tomorrow. As I started to write my essay I zoned out and remembered the events of last week when I met that amazing girl from the club. As if on cue I heard the bell of the small café door ring and I looked up and saw her. I was at a lost for words. She was even more beautiful than I remembered. Her hair was covered by a grey beanie and she wore sweats and a hoodie that was a little to big for her. I snapped out of it when I heard my phone go off notifying me that someone had texted me. I reached into my jacket pocket and pulled out my phone seeing I had a text from my best friend. As I was replying I heard someone say my name. I looked up and came face to face with Lauren. " Hey Lauren how are you?" I smiled and gestured my hand for her to take a seat. "I'm good just didn't expect it to be this cold today" she said as she wrapped her delicate hands around her cup and took a sip. " Well I mean it is December Lauren did you think it was gonna be all sunshine and rainbows?" I laughed. She let out a laugh that instantly brought a smile to my face. As time went on Lauren and me sat there and talked and before I knew it, it was time to go. " Im sorry but I have to go I have some important things that need to be done" "Its fine y/n just give me your number so I can text you later". I was takin by surprise but gave her my phone anyways and her vice versa. "have a good day y/n" and before I knew it she was gone. I grabbed my things and headed out to my matte black Camero and got in. I sat there for a minute and thought about what just happened. I got Laurens fucking number and I didn't even have to ask. I smiled to myself and started the engine and drove off towards my best friends place to hang out. I pulled into the drive way and got out. Right when I was about to knock my friend opened the door and pulled me in and sat me down on the couch. Jason wasn't the type of person to beat around the bush so I knew he wanted to know what happened this morning. So I told him from the moment I woke up to when I got her. Of course he had to ask about Lauren which I had no problem telling him about but then he stopped. He looked at me with those eyes and I knew. I knew he was going to cry and in the six years I knew Jason id only seen him cry once and now this time its because of me. I grabbed him by the back of head and pulled him into a hug as he started to cry. "its gonna be okay Jason I promise" but deep down I knew it wasn't going to be and I started to silently cry as I kept repeating sweet nothings to him.
