Nora James P. O. V

Closing the door with my left foot, I barely look where I'm going, my face shoved in a book, not caring if I fall to my imminent demise.

I'm almost getting as dramatic as this book, I snort to myself as I turn the page.

Taking a few steps ahead my legs collide into something, barely glancing up, I see I'm right on the edge of the bed.

Manoeuvring my body, I somehow end up on the bed with my face still shoved into the book, not caring whether I'm lying upside down on the bed or not.

So deeply into reading my book, my eyes taking in the black bold words as I gasp here and there at the audacity of some of the people.

A low thud resonates from somewhere in the huge house but I can be bothered to look if Pixie's thrown something on floor once again or not.

My laziness will be the death of me someday.

A few minutes go by and I'm still absorbed in my book but slowly the silence starts getting to me.

Silence coming from a dog nearly always means trouble.

I hope she hasn't gotten a hold of a pair of Alexander's boxers once again.

He'll kill me if he ever finds out...

Sighing, I decide to put my conscience to rest and put my book down beside me, looking up I let out a shrill scream as brown eyes stare back at me.

Almost immediately the culprit starts laughing, almost gasping for air as they lean back on the bed for support.

Glaring at them, I place a hand to my chest, myself almost gasping for air from the huge shock.

What the hell was wrong with people?

Intensifying my glare, Alexander huffs out one last breath of laughter before he smiles up at me innocently.

"What?" He beams out.

"What my ass." I grumble out under my breath.

"What are you doing here?" I ask once again, eyeing my book, gently sliding it closed and shoving it under my pillow, not so discreetly.

Alexander raises an eyebrow but resorts to smirking and staying quite.

"Well?" I ask, nudging him with my foot.

Alexander sits up on the bed and crawls over to where I lay.

He opens his arms and I do the same as he scoots closer and places his head on my chest while I run my fingers through his hair.

"Yeah, just stressed." Alexander answers back.

I 'hmm' and we both lie in silence for a long while, I almost fall asleep from the cozy atmosphere.

"Nora?"

The soft voice murmurs in my ear, rousing me from my almost sleep.

"Yeah." I ask, my voice in the same soft, soothing tone as his.

The both of us not wanting to disrupt the comfortable bubble we have been cloaked in.
