Michael's POV

We didn't speak much the next morning, but I couldn't tell if she was upset with me, or just upset period. It actually made me think, was I jumping to conclusions? Did I go overboard last night? Should I apologize? I wasn't sure how to react to anything at the moment, so I just carried on my day like it was normal.. even if she wasn't talking to me.

I held Michael in my lap as I was sitting in my office. While Rayne and Leon dropped Camille off at school. The day started off normally, but I wanted to figure out how to approach last night. I could barely focus on work.

My cell phone rang loudly, "Hello?" I answer. Usually I don't answer unknown numbers, so I proceeded with caution.

"Is THIS Michael Jackson?" The voice asks, it held some type of accent.

"Yes.. who is this please?" I answer.

All of a sudden a group of girls start yelling and giggling, "oh my god, it really is him, we are huge fans!! We live in Romania."

I sigh, this is the fifth time a fan has gotten my number from someone, or somewhere. Part of the main reason I never kept a cellphone is because fans would somehow obtain my number and my phone would practically blow up with phone calls and texts. It's sweet that my fans love me enough to contact me, but that's a serious privacy issue for me.

"Ladies, thanks for calling.. I really appreciate all of your love and support.. and-"

"We love you Michael!!" They scream, almost deafening my ear.

I chuckle, "I love you more.. I would love to stay and talk with you but I'm very busy.. Goodbye." I say as nicely as possible before clicking off the line and turning my phone off.

I page Wayne who sat in while Leon took Camille to school. "Wayne.."

"Yeah boss?"

"I'm gonna need a new phone.." I sigh.

"I'll go grab one for you now.. Leon and Rayne just got back."

"Ok. Thanks." I take my son and exit out of my office, meeting Rayne right at the door, her eyes diverting to the ground. "No tears this time?" I chuckle awkwardly.

"What?" Rayne asked almost annoyed.

"I was just saying, it's her first day of 3rd grade. Usually you cry a little.." I grin. Rayne doesn't even give me an inch of a smile before trailing off towards the stairs leading to our room.

This felt all wrong, we weren't on the same page anymore. I blurted out, "What's up with you Ray?"

She paused at the steps and turned to me, "I don't know.." she sighs.

"What do you mean?"

"I don't know if I'm upset because you think something is going on between Andre and I.. or if I'm upset because there could've been, had you not said something.." she sulks on the bottom step. Burying her face in her hands, she lets out a whine.

I sit next to her, my arms rested on my knees. "You still love me?" I ask.

Her face was almost unreadable, like how could I dare have asked her that question. "Of course I do Mike.." she responded

"Do you still wanna be with me?" I ask. She gives me another "are you serious" stare.

"I'm just asking.." I sigh, "if that's the case... why are we doing this?"
