I was afraid. I was, that I will touch her. I know I was being stupid but, there are some kind of people, who has a thing around themselves that prevents us to touch them or do something stupid easily. My wife had this thing y'see. Even at that age, in spite of being the cutest girl on earth as if she made a wall around her with a her alarm code of her own.

Her hands were resting on the armrest of middle, gripping her diet coke. Well this diet coke doesn't really work. At least not on my wife. I shooed away her thoughts and started looking around the flight inside. We boarded the evening flight from Bagdograh, which shucked out all my savings. But I knew Rinidi was gonna refill it.

"Only for you di!" I said before. "I am dragging that bitch!"

"oh really!" Rinidi had scoffed. And I couldn't help but let my cheeks heated up. Like the cute I was!

Anyways I looked around. I smiled as an airhostess caught my eyes and offer me a small professional smile. These ladies! Everyone should take some lessons from them. You can't gauge out their mood from their face, always smiling. Even in their bad day. Even if the flight was about to crash down, their smile would make you believe that, this was the happiest thing the world.

"What are you looking at?" A sharp snarl hitched me down from my thoughts. I turned, the source of the snarl was looking even more sharp. Pulu made a dirty frown at me. "how cheap..."

"I didn't! I didn't!" I shook my head frantically cutting her almost. I wasn't thinking anything bad about that beautiful airhostess!!! For god sake trust me!!! My mind pleaded.

She rolled her eyes and looked away leaving me in a frenzy. She believed me or not? Someone please tell! But ofcourse there was none. I fished out the security director from the sit pocket in frustration. Any help please???

After sometime I felt Pulu's head on my shoulder she shifted on her sit snaking her arm around mind.

I felt some tringles pricking my skin. I gulped her coke a little. Her hairs smell like frutish.

"Butu da!" She mumbled.

"hmm!"

"say something?"

"shoot!"

"do you pity me?"

What!

I thought for a little. And she added a little more to her question.

"y'know I am orphan! And...kind of sharing your parents money... You feel something right?"

"I feel beautiful about you Pulu. A beautiful fatal yet main ingredient of my life. Like something I won't ever want to even dream to live without!" I breathed. "and you are not orphan. You have a husband, who promises even his last happiness for your smile!" I mumbled. Cheesy! She will vomit up right now! My brain made a face.

But she kept mum and nuzzled her nose on my shirt.

"Pulu!"

"umm!"

"say me. What happen with you?" I mumbled. She closed her eyes studiously. "share it please. You are scaring me now, you know that?"

She looked up at me a little. "If I promise you to behave normally, will you stop bringing it up?"

'Behaving normally'! Does kissing count in that? My mind asked. I am a pathetically shit! I knew that.

"okay!" I nodded though I wanted to know what was with her!

And she smiled which reached her beautiful eyes and snuggled my hand more, closing her eyes. I couldn't help but smiled and buried my nose in her hairs planting a peck there.

Our flight was delayed due to heavy shower in Kolkata. After two long months of waiting and burning, my city was bathing with soothing peace of rain...

I opened the door of our flat taking the keys from Tripti pisi, Suvro's mother. She gave me a look as Pulu was standing beside me.

As the watch was gleaming eleven almost when our flight lastly laded Netaji Shubhash Chandra Bose airport, Maa ordered me to stay the night at our flat as the way to Rimi di's house where everyone were for the wedding day after tomorrow, was in Sonarpur a little too far, and she didn't trust it to be safe at that hour.

I opened the door and with a utmost bark Bhuto rushed at us. I startled for a bit that I thought Its coming for me to rip of my tonsil. But no! It just jumped on my wife keeping it's two paw over her shoulder, licking her face as she knelt down. She giggled! She just giggled. Oh excuse me! I was not allowed to even touch her forget licking her face. And here this...dog was getting an appreciative giggle. My wife!!! Go figure!!!

"ouuu! Ou!..." She started rubbing it's nape. "what is he doing here alone???" She asked me tackling her only love.

I shrugged off pacing inside.

"Butu da! What is Bhuto doing here alone?" She asked me again. Only that things I got, questions. I looked at her.

"what do you mean?" I asked. My stomach growled. "anyways I am plating the foods, go fresh up fast..." I walked away with the packet of food we bought. I didn't know what she understand, she walked inside her room with her dog sporting some public display of affection with it.

"Butu da, Bhuto should not be left alone in this house!" Pulu said with a concerning face shoving a bite of dinner in her mouth.

You know when mother asked me to stay home tonight with my wife, alone, no one would have idea how my sky of city lightened up with imaginary fireworks in spite of raining. I almost imagined, visualized this all night just within that moment and trust me, trust me when I say this, Bhuto was NEVER a part of that!!! No! But now the only thing she was chatting about was Bhuto.

Bhuto! Bhuto! Bhuto! Bhuto!

"He is growing old Butu da, look at him..." She snuggled that dog who was dining in peace leaning on it's mistress.

"toh what should we do now? Not go?" I snapped. I don't know I was feeling like punching her head up. I clenched my jaw to control my irritation.

"No!" She made a face. "of course not!" Her hair was wet falling over her back and leaving a sweet frutish smell. "can't we take him with us? I mean he is old..."

"Pulu we will be out for five six days only. And Malati masi, the maid will come, she will give him the food right!" I huffed. She sulked. "what will he do there? It's a wedding house for god sake. A dog is not allowed. No!" I snapped.

"and we are? Why this division? He will enjoy too na...!" She appalled. As her voice trailed off looking at me I realized I was glaring at her and my jaw was paining almost due to the clench. A sudden rage was boiling the cells of my brain and nerves. "I mean..." She mumbled. But that was late I guess cause to sooth my burning eyes a lonely drop of limped climbed down my cheeks and I rushed into my room, dumping my half eaten plate into the dustbin...
