Chapter 18: Something New

3 months later...
Skylar's POV•
I was just talking to McKayla and Lauren in the hallways enjoying my free period. "Sooo, how's Shawn!" McKayla randomly brings up while we were just talking about the mall.

"Yeah!" Lauren follows excitedly. "Guys I already told you- he hasn't answered any of my calls or texts in 3 months! I think he's too busy for me or... forgot about me.." I sigh.

"Girl! Why would he be too busy for or forget about a cute, smart, amazingly independent girl like you!" Lauren tells me. I smile at her comment.

"Yeah like, even if he did he'd be missing out on all of that!" McKayla giggles. I embrace both of them with a hug.

"You guys are the best! I don't know what I did to deserve you!" I tell them. But what if Shawn did forget...he told me he wouldn't. Or would he?

I saw some tweets and pictures of him with Camilia Cabello but, he notified they are just really close friends and I believe him. The bell rings and I get to Biology.

I say goodbye to the girls and walk to class. I was looking through my phone to see if Shawn tweeted or posted anything but as I'm typing his name in I see a hashtag...

#EmmaandShawn? I was curious so I tapped it. I scroll and see him and her hugging, them singing on stage and her KISSING HIM!? I didn't realize that I was still walking and bumped into someone.

"Omg! I'm so sorry!" I tell them. I look at the person and see it's a boy. He has dirty blonde hair, the prettiest blue eyes and the cutest dimples. He's was blushing as I spoke to him.

"U-uh e-er its u-um fine......w-what's your n-name?" He stutters. "It's Skylar. Skylar Smith" I giggle and smile putting my arm out to shake his hand.

"I-I'm Andrew Young" he nervously smiles, shaking my hand. He hands me my books and my phone. "Shawn Mendes, hm?" He says as looking at my phone and handing it back to me.

"Do you like him?" He asks. I blush "h-he is m-my boyfriend, w-well, was my, b-Boyf-friend.." I say stuttering. "Cool really!" He says. "Yeah.." I mumble.

"Um, do you um..wanna.." he says stuttering without finishing his words. I kinda got the signal and went along with it. "Yes, I would actually love to go out with you. How's tonight at 8?" I say with a smile.

"That's perfect.." "Thanks for helping pick up my books by the way" I say with a smile. I kiss him on the cheek and walk to class.

I turn my head to look at him and see him with his hand on his cheek blushing but, this reminds me of Shawn.

This is the first guy I've actually gone on a date with or even talked to, (besides her guy friends) since Shawn left. Is this a good thing or a bad thing?

It's not a bad thing really I guess because Shawn was kissing some other bitch which brought back bad memories:

I see Shawn and the girl in my science class who seems to be popular, sucking each other's faces technically. I feel my eyes water at this and run to the side of the school. I sit against the wall, curl up in a ball and start to cry...
We got through that though but , that doesn't matter anymore. I knew I said I'd wait for him but, can I really when he's kissing another girl? I decide to try and call him and see what's up.

It's the end of the day and I walk home. I pick up Bella. We get home, I open the front door and run upstairs without checking if my parents were here.

I enter my room, lock the door and jump on bed. I go through my contacts and tap on "Shawn💙" I FaceTime him technically praying he'd pick up.

Shawn's POV•
"Goodnight Aussie!" I scream as me and Emma finish the show. "Great show Shawn! Hey you know what? we should-" *RING RING...RING RING...*

"hold on a sec Em, someone's calling me" I tell her as my phone interrupts her. She puffs and pouts with her arms crossed and walks away into her dressing room.

I look to see who's calling me. "Skylar💕" was the name in my screen. She was facetiming me. I smile and quickly run over to my dressing room and set up my phone so I can talk to her. It connects and finally picks up the call.

"Hey Shawn" she smiles waving. I smile as I hear her sweet voice once again. "Hey! I'm so sorry I could pick up your calls and messages, I was really busy" I tell her "yeah..um I just want to say hi and how it was going and something else" she tells me.

Something else? What could it be? "Oh..well, I'm am doing pretty good I just miss you" I say blushing a little as well does she.

"And I have this amazing partner! Her name is Emma Robinson! So, how are you doing?" Her smile fades a little. "Well um, im doing pretty good, and I um...got asked out on a date..." she says.

My heart skipped a beat for a second. "W-what?" I say confused. "Um, yeah..he's really nice and he helped me pick up my books and asked me out right there" she explains to me.

"Your gonna say no right?" I ask her. "Shawn..this is my decision, you can't just make me not go out with someone!" She tells me as I hear tension rise in her voice.

"Plus, you kissed that Emma girl so..." I hear her mumble. "Oh..You saw that" I tell her regretting I ever said that.

"Wait..YOU KNEW?!" She yells. "I DIDNT WANT TO HURT YOU!" "WELL, YOU DID!" She yelled.

It was silent for a moment. "I-I'm..sorry" I mumble. "I think it's a little too late for sorry" she says as a tear rolls down her face. "Goodbye Shawn" she sniffles, ending the call.

I loudly sigh and kick the chair. "Hey babe, you okay?" Emma says opening the door. "I'm not your babe.." I tell her. "Um, well~ that's what all your fans think" she giggles.

"Get.out" I mumble. "Excuse me?" She says sounding offended. "It's YOUR fault MY relationship is ruin! Because of that STUPID picture of you kissing ME!" I yell.

"Geez! I'll get out!" She says sassy walking out of the room. I sit on the floor with hands over my head. I sighed ...I fucked up.

Skylar's POV•
I end the call crying in my bed. Is it really over between me and Shawn? I don't know anymore.

I think I fuck up. I knew I had a date soon with Andrew so I got ready until then not thinking about the date but, think about Shawn....

OMG! Is Skylar going to fall Andrew? is Shawn going to fix his mistake? Idk! Really tho, idk😂 but anyway~ I hope you all enjoyed it but lately I've been writing these chapter extremely long and idek if you guys like them let me know and have an amazing day loves!xxx💙
