19.Glee in minuscule thingo

I push my legs against the muddy ground to balance with Manik's pace ; turn by turn as we have settled on a seesaw located in the same park....The sound of seesaw as it goes up or down is indicating its oldness...

"I knew that you are planning something for today" I say "I mean yesterday " I say with a chuckle on realizing that the next day had started...

"How ?"

"Rishab told me....but I didn't know what it was " I say

"So !! did you like it ?" He questions

Of course I did....what type of a question it is ??

"I loved it Manik...No one ever did this for me "

"I won't even let anybody else do this " He says and I can understand the possessiveness in his tone and he is actually indicating that he won't be leaving me ever to let anyone else do..

"I don't want anybody else to do " I say and both us are smiling like idiots...

"Did someone ask you questions in the morning ?" He asks

"No.....actually " I shift my gaze to the my fidgeting fingers due to tension??

"What happened Nandini " his voice is dipped in concerned of a sincere soulmate

"I was just thinking about daddy and Rishab's talk " I stop in the track , unable to find other words to describe the situation we were in...

"I....get it " Manik says stopping in mid to let me know that he actually does "don't worry about it and don't stress yourself thinking much about it " he is worried for me "Rishab's a strong man " he says and I smile on remembering his face and the way he controlled his anger and didn't burst out because of having daddy in front of me...

"what time is it ?" I ask looking at Manik

"1:00"

Dad will be asleep or not ??

Shall I go home ?? Will daddy be angry ??

"My love , don't worry.." Manik says as the answer to my questions "I'll call Rishab " He says and does so

What will he say ? Will he be awake ?? I hope he picks up the call....

I hear Manik disconnecting the call after bidding Rishab goodbye

"Your daddy is sleeping and he is assuming you to be asleep in your room " Manik announces

"What ??"

I'm sorry daddy

"What shall I do now ?" I palm my mouth

"No need to get worried , baby...Come to my place " he offers

What if daddy comes to know that I was with Manik for the whole night ?? Btw he doesn't even know that I was with Manik when we went to OUR home...

But still ?? What will he think ?? He will be hurt...he will build bad image of Manik ....

I'm stuck

"Itna kya soch rhi ho ? Are you planning to sleep on this seesaw ?" Manik brings me back to reality

"Manik what if daddy comes to know ?" I ask

"Who will tell him ? You or me ? Or Rishab ?" He's so right but what can I do with my 'always on willing thoughts ' brain...? "Don't tell me that you will " He shots me a look as if examining my eyes for answers

I look back on my hands

"Nandini !! I know you don't like hiding things from your daddy and I respect your thoughts but Nandini I cannot take a risk right now...dropping you at home at this hour won't help but if you want I can " he says with his voice filled with utter most care
