a brother's job

Chase stares at the black sand he found in Cher's room by the window earlier in the afternoon. His laptop was by him, as he tried to figure out what it was from. He narrowed it down to two options, either from a craft store, or from Pitch Black.

The craft store seemed like the more reasonable option, and the sane one. But from the events that occurred earlier the week, Pitch Black seemed more reasonable. Maybe Chase was slowly losing it, or overreacting, but it had to be Pitch Black.

Cher didn't seemed to be someone who would tell him everything he wanted to know. And Pitch Black didn't seem like a very nice person to the internet, so Chase had only one place to turn to, to Jack Frost.

If the internet was correct- which it rarely is- then Cher might be in trouble. And it was his job, a brother's job, to protect his younger sister. Even if it was against a made up, children's story, bad guy.

But if Cher was in trouble, then Chase had to do something. And Jack Frost was the only one he could think of that would (hopefully) give him some answers.

If only he could come up with a way to find him, and contact him.
