Emotional Goodbyes

Danny walked over to me and harshly grabbed Liliana. I quickly followed to get her back but he pointed the gun at me

"Not. One. Step. Closer." he said slowly

Nervously, I stepped back. Jace quickly grabbed my arm and pulled me closer to him.

"What do you want?" He asked bitterly.

"I want you" Isabela replied staring Jace.

"And I want you" Danny said looking at me. I could feel my skin crawl.

I'm terrified right now... But I think I know what I need to do. I need to do what's best for everyone involved. Not just Jace and I.

"Ok" I got out in a strangled voice as I held back tears.

"What?" Jace asked turning to me clearly confused

"Ok. I'll go with you Danny" I said barely above a whisper

Danny flashed an evil grin.

"Good"

He grabbed my wrist harshly and began to drag me away. No. No I can't leave yet. I want to say goodbye.

"Wait" I said and he stopped.

"What?" He asked roughly. I flinched at his tone.

"I want to say goodbye. I love him" I said looking back at Jace.

He stayed silent for a few seconds as if he was considering it.

"Please" I persisted helplessly.

"Fine. You got 5 minutes" he sighed signalling Isabela to leave.

She put Lili in the corner. I turned around fully to look at Jace. He was smiling.

"Ok so now we're alone. What's the plan?" Jace asked me with a hopeful smile.

Oh no. This is gonna be hard.

"There is no plan" I told him still holding back tears

"W-what?" He stuttered as his smile faded.

"There is no plan" I repeated.

"Jace we need to do what's best for everyone-" I began.

"So staying with that phycotic bitch is what's best for me?!" He yelled cutting me off.

"In this case yes! Look if it was just you and me then maybe I'd try to come up with a plan but it's not just us. There's a baby involved Jace! We need to think about her!" I said looking at the innocent baby in the corner.

"Fine but what about you? Danny is going to hurt you Riele"

"I know but I can handle it. I'm a strong a girl" I said with a small smile.

"Riele-" he began.

"Look Jace I don't like it either but what choice do we have?"

"We... We could take Liliana and escape. The door's unlocked and they won't know"

"You know that won't work" I said.

"I know" he sighed looking down.

"Hey look at me" I said cupping his face in my hands.

"I love you more than I've ever loved anyone. You know how I've always been passed around from home to home. I never felt like I belonged anywhere then I met you and Liliana. You made me feel loved. I really felt like I belonged in this house. I'll always be grateful to you for that. I'll admit it definitely wasn't easy but when we were in a relationship, I was never happier." I confessed

"I love you so much. After Isabela left I stopped believing in love. I just thought that any woman who tried to get close to me was just going to leave. Then you came and changed everything. I'd never seen anyone so good with Liliana before. You showed me that it's ok to move on. You made me smile. You're my happiness. Please don't go" he begged in tears

I smashed my lips against his. His arms snaked around my waist and pulled me closer. He held me as if he was scared to let me go. I slowly pulled away and he rested his forehead against mine. I gently began to sing

"Just close your eyes
The sun is going down
We'll be alright
No one can hurt you now
Come morning light
You and I'll be safe and sound"

I know I've sung that before but it really suits the situation.

"Goodbye Jace" I said with tears in my eyes.

Danny came back into the room.

"Time's up"

I nodded. He dragged me out and I didn't fight it. I couldn't.
