Chapter Twenty

Waking up without anyone yelling at me to wake up or without a surprise beating was something I could get used to. Remembering that I was supposed to talk to Jake before I fell asleep I got up and went looking for him.

When I got to the bottom of the stair I heard him talking to a friend of his over the phone I was just about to go up to him when I heard him say "Dude I am so going to win this bet by the end of the week." What bet is he talking about? I was wondering if I should just ask him or wait until he tell me its probably about something stupid. I was thinking that until I heard him say, "I got her right where I want her Alex will not know what hit her." I balled my hands into a fist so tightly that could felt my skin give away of show sharp my nail were. I could not believe that he and his friends made a bet that he would be able to have sex with me by the end of the week.

I really thought that with everything we have gone through that I would actually mean something for him, but apparently not. I need to get out of here without anyone noticing and for that to happen I need to pretend that I did not hear anything. This is going to be really hard because all I want to do is punch him in the face and get as far away as possible from him and to never see him again. I was afraid that this was too good to be true and that for the first time I could have someone that would actually care about me. Now I am even more scared than ever to open up to someone new because I will always have these doubts.

Taking a calming breath I went inside and waved at him and then pointing at the door to say if he was ready to go to school. He nodded and while he was locking the door I was waiting patiently by his motorcycle so we could head off to school. As soon as he got on I was about to get on myself when he said, "I am sorry Alex I am not going to be able to take you to school because I have not told my friends yet about our arrangement and I don't want them to be making embarrassing comments about how I am giving the nerdy girl to school. I hope you don't mind and that I will see you after school at home okay and also don't try to talk to me at school I don't want other people to talk."

I cannot believe he just said that if I did not want to leave before I most definitely do now. The only problem would be where would I go.

Sorry for the really short chapter I have had the longest time not being able to decide where I will be taking this story next but I think I have an idea now so I will be updating even more frequently. Also was thinking about getting a new cover for the book but I have no ideas if you guys have any or would like to make me some that would be great. I would be giving you all the credit for it please let me now if anybody is interested. Please vote and comment I love reading what you guys have to say.
