"Hey, this is Matt. I'm not able to get to the phone right now, but leave a message if you want. I'll get back to you as soon as I can."

"Hey, Matt. It's Carter... again. I really need you to call me back so I know if you're coming to the Founder's Day Celebration.. Thanks." Carter smashed the red button beneath her thumb, a large gust of air blasting out between her lips. "Founder's Day Celebration?" Jackson asked, followed by a sleepy eyed Kaitlin. Her dark hair was knotted on top of her head, her grey sweatpants hanging lowly against her hips. She wore their school hoodie, which was way too big for her, the sleeves covering her dainty hands. "It's just this party thing my friend Elena wants me to come to. Too bad my date has stood me up," she responded dryly, feeling the stress whirl in her head like a tornado, a headache rising.

"We can take you," he offered, Scott slipping down the stairs in his basketball shorts. She looked to her friends, biting down on her bottom lip. "I have a dress and I'm sure the boys will look nice," Kaitlin chimed, ruffling Jackson's mess of curls beneath her fingers. "Yeah. Why not?" the girl pondered on the thought a little longer, looking between the three. Jackson's hair was sticking up everywhere, his white t shirt stained around the neck. He wore a nice pair of black joggers that rose up a bit high on his ankles. Scott's hair was fine, his biceps strained against the grey long sleeve shirt he usually wore to bed.

"Fine!" she gave in, squeezing her eyes shut. "It isn't just a party, though. It's suit and tie." Scott cheered. He loved anything that he could dress up for and look like a stud. Kaitlin squealed, her brown eyes glistening with a sudden glee. She proceded to move into Scott's arms and the two waltzed around the kitchen, laughter sounding like chimes floating through the wind. She felt like it was her happy place. "Fabulous," Jackson hummed in a mock posh tone, picking up a cup for his coffee. "We can go out and buy suits while the two of you stress over hair choices and lip colors." Carter rolled her eyes, kicking her sock covered foot and nailing him in the leg.
