Leah :

It’s been over several months since I met Teddy. Surprisingly, I still don’t know his name. He didn’t want to tell me, I’m not going to force him. Even I’m a bit curious, a lot actually but I like my nickname for him, it makes me feel special. Our friendship still the same, after his last visit with Hairy, almost every day when my clinic open he would bring different pets. I’m beginning to think that he has a zoo but he said he didn’t. The only time he didn’t come would be the time he had to go outstation for 'work' and I would surely miss him like crazy. I was starting to get attached to him and I like it. I think I like him or more but I don’t know if he feels the same way like I am. Occasionally, he would bring me to dinner during weekend or picnic or any other activities. He’s so sweet with all the jokes and teasing. I’m beginning to fall for him. I will not deny it because I don’t, that’s my motto for sure.

Today is Wednesday, Teddy can’t come because he’s at somewhere far right now but still he would call me every night before sleep to ask how my day was and I would say boring. We will talk until I fell asleep, he said he like to hear me sleep, talk about awkward but sweet.

“hey Leah, I’m going to change the flowers now,” Carla came into my office bringing fresh white jasmines. She said she bought it from a hot blonde guy across the street since 3 weeks ago. I didn’t mind because I like the flowers a lot. Ever since that day, my office would smell so nice. The day ended so fast, noted the sarcasm in it.

“Sis. Three of us going out to chill, wanna join?” Liam asked while I was watching some news, weirdly because I’m not the person who would watch news. “No, I’m fine.” I said without glancing towards him. “okay.” He said it in uncertain way. Then the three of them bid me goodbye, kissing my cheeks before went out. After some time, I want to watch Netflix so I needed to ready the snacks. Only left 2 hours before Teddy called, yeah I’ve counted the time and wait. Creep I know.

By the time I wanted to get out from the couch, the news that flashing on the TV stopped me. It’s Teddy in an elegant black tux looking so devilishly charming, but that’s not the major problem.

The major problem is the caption of the news. It’s stated there,

Multibillionaire successfully closed a deal in oil industry.

He’s even being interviewed and that’s when I saw his name and confirmed all of it,

Ian Knight,

Multibillionaire,

Dubai.

OH MY NUGGET!

I still continue my plan on watching the netflix after bummed out for almost 30 minutes but my mind wasn’t on Ryan Gosling which he plays as a hero in All Good Things, it’s on Teddy or Ian, or Mr. Knight. I can’t even concentrate!

Then my phone ringing, it shows Teddy’s face and name. Wow. I didn’t know 2 hours flies so fast. I hesitated whether to pick his call or not but I did it anyway.

“Hello” I sounded almost whispering, I don’t know how to react or say.

“Are you okay angel? Took you long enough to answer,” he sounded concern. Oh how deep is his voice making me melting again. I missed him.

“I-I’m fine, just finished shower,” I stuttered. I think he must sense something wrong because the line went suddenly silent.

“Am I in trouble Jellyface? Why I feel like there’s something wrong?” he asked sincerely, sounded sad for my change in behavior. I’m disappointed for my attitude too, I mean he’s willingly too spend his precious time on me not even care about the different time zone but I can’t. I was still in aftershock after saw the news and until now my mind was blank. So to avoid from me to hurt him more I decided to cut our conversation.

“I’m tired, let’s talk another time. Okay?” the line went silent again the he said okay in confused and uncertain tone.

“Good night Teddy.”

“Good night amo, my angel” he said huskily.
Even on the phone I could fall in love with him.

My Teddy, Ian Knight, I think I’ve heard his name before but not sure where. I fall asleep with Teddy playing in my mind.
