Once Elisabete completed her duties and handed Loki and Sanit their lunch, she went to leave their chambers, but Loki called out to her and told her to stay.

"After we finish our lunch, you are to take notes on whatever Sanit requires for her feast. But, please do stay." Loki told her.

"Yes, my king." Elisabete bowed her head.

Sanit watched as Elisabete stood by the doors to their chambers and she snapped her head to look at Loki. She narrowed her eyes at him as she watched him eat.

"Why does she have to stay and watch? Can't she return when we've finished?" Sanit inquired.

"Why does it matter where she stays?" Loki retorted.

"I don't want a member of your staff watching me eat." Sanit replied.

"She is my maid and I will have her do whatever I want. Now, eat." Loki told her.

Sanit huffed as she continued eating her lunch with him. Loki quickly looked into his room from their balcony and smiled weakly as he saw Elisabete standing by the door with her head facing the floor. In the light of his room, she looked almost angelic to him. His smile grew bigger and he cleared his throat before turning to face Sanit, the smile now gone.

"I hope you treat her nicely." Loki spoke.

"I'll treat her the same way I treat the other maids. Don't worry. We get along." Sanit told him.

"I'm glad that you do. If she ever upsets you, you tell me and I will have something done about it. You mean everything to me." Loki told her.

Sanit hated when he spoke to her like she was his wife. She made it abundantly clear to him all those years ago that she was not in the prospects of marrying. Had he believed she was thinking differently because she told him she'd settle down in Asgard? She clenched her jaw as Loki reached across the table and took her hand in his. She put on a smile for him and chuckled as she nodded her head. Loki expected a response from her and was upset with how she reacted to his sentiment. Her stubbornness drove him insane. He did like his women to have some fight in them, but Sanit was too much. She was too set in her ways and Loki hated her close-minded attitude. In the years that they had known each other, Sanit had been an immovable stone whereas Loki was the idiot who thought he could move it. He'd push and shove, but she'd never budge. Loki truly believed that it was easier to move mountains than to make Sanit change her mind on certain subjects. He was attached to her, which made it even harder for him to let her go. Once they finished their meal, Loki stood from his seat and walked over towards Elisabete. She picked her head up from off the floor and smiled as he came her way.

"There is ink and paper on my writing desk. Use it for her list and return it to me in the throne room before you leave." Loki told her.

"Yes, my king. Will do." Elisabete replied.

Loki exited his chambers and Elisabete exhaled deeply knowing that now she was alone with Sanit. She walked over towards the balcony, grabbed her pen and paper, and stood in the open doorway waiting for her to speak. Sanit turned her head to face Elisabete and she put on a smile as she eyed her up and down.

"How old are you, Elisabete?" Sanit inquired.

"Twenty-one, my lady." Elisabete replied.

"Oh, so young," Sanit commented. "And so innocent too."

"I am to write down your suggestions for the feast tomorrow." Elisabete told her, trying to stay on topic.

"We have all day for that. Sit down." Sanit spoke softly.
