Maya's POV

"Maya?" Lucas asks more sternly. "Who's the father?"

"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." I whisper.

"What?"

"It's you. You're the father." I whisper. Lucas swallows and then I see the anger.

"Why wouldn't you tell me? Why would you ever keep a secret like this from me?"

"I didn't know what you would've done. Lucas, I was scared you wouldn't want the baby!"

"Why on earth would you think I wouldn't want the baby?"

"I did an awful thing. I had sex with my best friends boyfriend and got pregnant! Riley would've killed me if I told her and you, well, I didn't need to ruin your life too." I say. Tears fall down my face and I quickly turn away holding Rion close.

"Maya, you telling me wouldn't have ruined my life and it certainly won't now and I know Riley wouldn't hate you. She'd be angry but she'd be the one holding your hand while you had Rion." Lucas turns me around to face him and lifts my chin up so I can look him in the face. "I want to be in my sons life, Maya." A tear falls down my face and Lucas is quick to wipe it away.

"I want you in his life too." I admit. "I just don't know how I'm going to tell everyone."

"Why does this have to be something you carry on your shoulders. I'm just as responsible."

"I'm just scared." I say. Lucas pulls me into a hug. He's careful to not crush Orion who has fallen asleep.

"I'm here for you. I always will be." Lucas says quietly. Rion decides to wake up and he starts cooing. Lucas pulls away to watch him. He smiles and takes him from my arms. I watch as Lucas sits down and starts talking to him.

"Hey, Ri. You don't know me yet but I'm your dad. I'm sorry I couldn't be there for you but I'm not leaving. Never. Me and your mommy love you so much." He says. Rion gives Lucas a small smile making him beam. I smile and feel a warmth spread throughout my stomach. My son and the boy I've been desperately been in love with for years finally meeting and it couldn't be more perfect.
