Blaise/Ginny
Blaise instantly let out an ear-piercing yell. He writhed on the floor- clutching his torso. It felt like millions of tiny needles were all stabbing into his skin at once. He curled up into a tiny ball and screamed again. He felt people grabbing at him and yelling things, but he couldn't hear them over the sounds of his own screams.
He felt three people pick him up and lye him on the couch. He panted heavily and opened his eyes. Ginny immediately grabbed his hand and put her other hand on his cheek. "Are you okay?" She asked before pursing her lips. "Sorry. That was a stupid question," She said, looking at the ground. Blaise smiled and put his hand under her chin, tilting her head up. "Nothing you say is stupid, Gin," He said.
She smiled sadly and rested her head on his chest. He stroked her hair before she got up and faced Harry. "What happened?" Harry asked, utterly confused. Everyone glared at him, except for Blaise who had drifted off to sleep. "What do you mean 'What happened?' You just used the Cruciatus Curse on Blaise, that's what happened!" Ginny screamed, wondering how nobody besides the people that were already in the room hadn't stirred after all the yelling that had been happening. Then she heard a noise from upstairs and Luna and Neville came down.
Green eyes widened. "Ginny, I-I-I swear I didn't! You have to believe me!" He exclaimed. He felt a bead of sweat drip down his forehead. Ginny shook her head and felt a tear drip down her cheek. "No, Harry Potter. This is unforgivable," She said. And with that, she left The Burrow, slamming the door behind her. Luna and Neville shared a confused look before coming into the living room.
Harry attempted to run after her, but was held back by Draco and Ron. "What the devil was that, Harry?" Ron yelled in his face. Draco sneered. "You just tortured my best mate! You're lucky I don't kill you right here, right now, Potter!" He growled. "I didn't do anything!" Harry said through gritted teeth. Hermione clenched her fists. She walked up to him briskly. She gave him one of her famous Third-Year Punches and stormed after Ginny, her braids bouncing up and down as she walked.
Harry buried his head in his hands. "I didn't do it," He said, his voice muffled. "We won't tell anyone, but if you ever pull a stunt like that again we're sending you straight to Azkaban!" Draco barked. Harry nodded and stalked up to the boys' room. Everyone watched as Luna ran out of the house after her two friends.
Hermione/Draco
Hermione sprinted after Ginny, Luna at her heels. They followed the sound of sobbing and ended up in a forest. Ginny was curled up in a ball under a big evergreen tree. Hermione smiled warmly as she kneeled down next to Ginny. She rubbed circles into her back comfortingly. "Hey, Gin. You're okay. He'll be okay," She whispered.
Ginny looked up at her with red eyes. "That wasn't like him, 'Mione. That wasn't Harry. That couldn't have been! It just couldn't!" She bawled. Hermione's smile faltered slightly. "Gin. . ." She started. "No, Hermione! That wasn't Harry no matter what you say!" She screeched, making Hermione jump at her sudden change of attitude.
Luna looked completely unfazed. She stood next to Hermione and Ginny with a far-off look. "I agree with Ginny. Harry wouldn't do that and you know it. That was someone else. Or someone controlling him. . ." She said dreamily, not maintaining eye-contact. Hermione tutted like Mrs. Weasley. "Nonsense, both of you! Harry just made a gigantic mistake!"
Everyone jumped at the sudden rustling in a bush. Hermione almost fell over, but Ginny quickly pulled her back up. "What was that?" The red-head whispered. Hermione shook her head. Luna stepped closer to the tree and stood on her tiptoes in an attempt to see what was behind the bush. "Hello?" She called loudly.
Hermione shot up and clamped her hand over Luna's mouth. "Don't," She said weakly. Luna nodded and she removed her hand. Just then, a neat-looking man wearing very formal clothes stepped out. "Pardon me? I'm in need of assistance," He said in a raspy voice, walking towards them. Then Hermione noticed he didn't look neat at all.
His dirty brown hair hing down to his shoulders and his deathly pale face was angular and riddled with cuts. His suit was tattered and his shoes were worn out beyond solution. He was incredibly lean. That's when Hermione noticed an asset of his appearance. Something that made her scream and pull Ginny up immediately. In place of his canine, he had long, pointy fangs that skimmed his bottom lip.
"He's a vampire!" Hermione shouted, pointing at him. They ran for the hills. But he moved inhumanly fast. Probably because he wasn't human. He was in front of them in the blink of an eye. They attempted to go around him, only to be stopped by two other vampires running in front on them. A female and another male. Their gazes seemed fixed on the girls' throats.
"Go!" The brown-haired vampire yelled to the other two vampires. They smiled mischievously, revealing their pointy teeth. The female grabbed Luna and the male grabbed Ginny. Hermione yelled for help as the vampire that she assumed was their leader, grabbed her and sunk his teeth into her neck. She screamed in pain as he slurped her blood.
She heard screams from the other girls and she guessed the other vampires had started feasting. Hermione cried out as the vampire pushed her to the ground and ran, grabbing the other two as he did so. Ginny and Luna collapsed to the ground and crawled to Hermione. "We just got bit by vampires!" Ginny yelled in disbelief. The girls huddled together.
Hermione felt her body tingle and she jumped up. "We need to go back to The Burrow before another creature comes and gets us," She said eerily calmly, walking towards the edge of the woods. The ventured back the the small house and pushed open the door. "Help!" Ginny yelled, her voice cracking when her neck started to hurt furiously.
Everyone came rushing down the stairs at once. "Ginny Weasley, whose shirt is that?" Mrs. Weasley said sharply. Ginny ignored her. "We just got bit," She exclaimed. Draco scrunched up his face. "By what? A rodent or something?" He asked. Hermione shook her head hastily. "No," She said. Blaise rolled his eyes. "Then what?" He asked sarcastically, neither of them realizing the importance of the situation. "Well, I'm not exactly sure. Hermione's the one that figured it out," She said.
"Ginny! We studied them in Defense Against The Dark Arts for three years!" She exclaimed. Ginny put her hands up in surrender. "I don't listen in that class," She said. Hermione narrowed her eyes. She opened her mouth to say more about the not listening, but was silenced by Draco. "Merlin, women! What happened?!" He snapped. Hermione gulped. "Vampires," She said.
And that's when everything went black for all three of the girls, covering them in a blanket of darkness. The last thing they saw were the horrified faces of their friends and family.
