Satarou felt sleepy, but he was aware when someone walked over to him and began carrying him to the lab. He vaguely heard Leo screaming at the man, trying to keep Satarou next to him. He was aware that he was dying and that there was nothing that he could do about it.

He started to lose consciousness when the man carrying him set him down on the lab table. The smoothness of the metal was starting to soothe Satarou, pulling him down deeper into the darkness.

"Stay with us, wolf" he could also hear the man-he recognized him as Allen now-desparately try to call out to him. The scientist wasn't ready for his experiment to die yet. After all, he was getting the best results from the stubborn teen.

He could feel himself falling down into unconsciousness, yet the lonely darkness calling out to him made him feel calm, accepted. He wanted to give in to it. No one would care if he were dead, and yet, he no longer had the energy to care. The darkness soothed his soul, and he had no choice to give in.

"Don't give in, Satarou!"

He blinked his eyes open once more, startled as he thought that he heard his litle brother call his name. He was even more startled as his vision was hazy and darkness was quick to surround it.

"Yui?" he called out, unsure. His voice sounded very far away and he had a hard time realizing that he was the one to call out his brother's name. His vision grew completely dark at last, and now he was surrounded with nothing but darkness.

Is this what death feels like? If I knew it was this soothing, I would have died ages ago. No one would have missed me anyways. After all, I never was something worth missing to begin with.

He sat alone in the darkness. He pictured himself as a human, just sitting there in that lonely darkness that he just could not let go of.

Then suddenly a familiar figure made it's appearance. He pictured large, fluffy black wings. He knew who those belonged to. Looking up, he hesitantly asked, "Leon?" Suddenly, the figure looked more angelic, his icy blue eyes sparkling brighter than the sunlight that helped give life to so many inhabitants on this planet. His lips were a light, pale pink, yet they looked so plump. Even through the darkness, he could see the man's beautiful black hair as if it had a personal light shining upon it. The man's skin sparkled and glistened, contrasting beautifully with the darkness that surrounded the two.

"Are you really going to give up, princess?" Leon's voice was smooth and deep and handsome, a very fitting feature for a man like himself.

"What else is there to do besides give up? No one wants me back at home. No one would care if I were to die. At least in this darkness I can't feel anything" Satarou replied, "now the sadness can't eat me up inside."

Now Leon was in front of Satarou. "Sure, you can't feel the sadness. But now you can't feel the happiness life has to offer, either."

"What happiness? Does that even actually exist?" Satarou asked.

"Sure it does!" Leon replied, "you can find happiness with your brother. Or," Leon leaned close until his face was mere inches away from Satarou's, "you can find happiness with me."

With those final words, Leon pressed his lips to Satarou's. Satarou wrapped one arm around the older man's neck, and the other around his head, pulling Leon in closer, deepening the kiss.

Leon nibbled on Satarou's lower lip, making the teen gasp out, and he chose that moment to shove his tongue into Satarou's mouth. Their tongues danced together and Satarou felt great as the two made out in that lonely darkness. Out of breath, they broke away, their faces still only being inches away from one another.
