"I- oh- what in the- Oh my god. I can't believe it" You whispered to your own reflection, your hand ghosting over your stomach unconsciously. You weren't sure how to feel about the new information you just received. How would Stephen react? You both never talked about having children in the future. At least not how everything is right now.

Kaecilius could come back anytime, and it was already worrying that there has been no attack reported recently. Ancient One has stayed calm even though panic enveloped everyone's mind. He was so close to destroying the three sanctums back then. If he were to come back, he would definitely be more prepared.

You felt your world closing in for a fragment of second, making you sit down at the edge of the bathtub. You didn't hate the idea of having Stephen's baby. On the contrary, you were in cloud nine knowing there would be addition to the Strange family.

But right now was the worst possible moment.

With a ghostly pale face, you grabbed the pregnancy test, clutching it close to your chest. You had to take a moment to breathe in and out. It was too much to take in as of now.

Pushing the door open with a small click, you quietly slipped out of your room, shuffling past Stephen's sleeping form. You stood below the doorframe, watching him for a couple of seconds before closing the door as quietly as possible. Your feet moved in quick and trembling strides, reaching the East wing of the sanctum in no time.

Repeatedly knocking and waiting patiently for Ancient One to answer, you hid the test behind your back, getting ready to do some explanation. "(Y/N). What brings you here so late?" Her voice broke your train of thoughts, letting yourself be ushered in her room, the door closing behind with a soft click.

"I- Ancient One..." You breathed out a small sigh, taking a seat on the edge of her bed, letting the soft mattress dip down below you. With no words spoken, you removed your hand from behind and handed her the pregnancy test without hesitation. Better rip the band aid than trying to avoid what was obvious to happen.

One... Two minutes passed by and you had received no word from her whatsoever. It was an unsettling feeling, not letting you be still at the tense silence. You felt so lost in that moment. It was the best and worst thing that could have ever happened to you. A baby was wonderful, and you had imagined many times how would a child of you both would look like... Be like...

But it was the worst time for humanity as Dormammu and Kaecilius would threaten Earth once more. You both had survived through the incoming storm. And if you were right now in the eye of it, the safety that would make everything feel as though you were safe. But the worst was yet to come.

The storm is coming. And it will be devastating.

Your hands clenched in, lowering your gaze in an attempt to keep the threatening tears at bay. Before you could break, two gentle arms enveloped you fondly. You couldn't help but let Ancient One hug you. You haven't realized how much you needed it until now.

Tears still cascaded down your cheeks, shutting your eyes tightly as you choked a sob, feeling as the arms wrapped around you tigtened in an assuring manner. You still couldn't help but laugh happily between tears. Your emotions were so mixed right there and now. That is when you realized Ancient One was weeping as well as you both laughed and cried in unison, pulling away after a solid five minutes.

The Sorcerer Supreme wiped away your tears, her hands settled on your shoulders. "Have you told him yet?" She inquired after a moment of needed silence between you both. You let yourself fall on the bed, rubbing your flushed face with both of your hands. After you cleared your throat and gulped softly, your head moved as a no.

"I haven't. No one knows about it. I just found out today." You nervously sighed out, wiping your sweaty hands on your pants. It was relieving to not feel as though a heavy weight was on your shoulders. It had been lifted off and gone.

"I never thought we would happen Ancient One... I guess we got too enveloped in the heat of the moment to care about anything else." You groaned in embarrassment, taking a small glance at her to see her standing and looking out the window.

Even though you and Stephen had been married for a couple of years now, there really wasn't time to let yourselves be carried away. The farthest you both got was to a passionate kiss, but nothing else. That had happened when you both were sent in a needed vacation and second honeymoon as you quite didn't get to spend time relaxing after your wedding.

Life was chaotic.

"You should tell him as soon as you can. Either you tell him, or he'll found out in some way. Or worse... Ka- Let's not think on that extreme much." She stated, her arms crossed over her chest and wearing a thoughtful expression.

"How do you suggest I tell him? How do you think he'll react? Remember that time I told him I adopted a puppy and told him we would have to take care of it? He flipped out and completely lost his mind!" You threw your arms up, sitting up in an instant and rushing to the door. "I'll start searching for ways to tell him."

Ancient One watched you go, her gaze returning to look outside, watching as a few sorcerers strided by, taking care of their own business. Unaware of the panic, fear and happiness mixed together.

"Where are you taking me?" Stephen chuckled, blindly trying to reach for a solid surface with his bare hands. A smile spread across your face as you tried to get him to the kitchen without bumping into everything. "Jus- There's a lamp. Steph- The poor sorcerer!" You quickly apologized before practically pushing him in the kitchen and closing the door.

Your hands immediately moved over to untie the blindfold wrapped around his eyes, throwing it on a chair and motioning for him to take a seat. Three chairs had been moved off to another room, leaving only three situated in the kitchen. Stephen sat down without a word, eyeing wearily the third spot.

"Is someone joining us to have lunch?" He questioned in confusion, watching you sit down next to him and taking his hand on yours. You immediately received a gentle squeeze back. Your gaze traveled up until fixing with his gray eyes.

You took a deep breath, getting ready to tell him what you had been hiding for the past weeks. You felt ready, you had to do it eventually. "No one is joining us for lunch Stephen... But you can count on that in about nine months..." You rushed out for once and for all. That was the only way you could come up with.

You watched as he stayed silent, his mind processing your words slowly. His gaze changed into that of realization, the truth dawning into him at an incredibly fast pace. No one spoke for a while, his hand still holding yours tightly, spaced out and a distant look.

"You mean..." He gulped hard, his eyes shifting off you and towards the table. His wide eyes brimmed with tears as he gathered his words. "We are having a... a baby?" He questioned softly, almost like a lost child. You were in the same position. So lost and doubtful.

You nodded, your lips pressing in a thin line, not being able to hold the tears back neither. "Yes Stephen." You nodded faster. "We are expecting our first child."

His eyes lit up with sudden excitement, moving to stand in no time and sweeping you up in a tight hug, his strong arms enveloping in a warm and welcoming embrace. "Oh (Y/N)." He gasped enthusiastically, showering your face with kisses. "Darling this is wonderful!" His worn out expression had changed into one of pure happiness.

It warmed your heart to see him like this, it was rejuvenating.

His lips soon met yours in a passionate kiss, his hand pulling you with him as you both headed out of the kitchen. "Where are you taking me Stephen?" You couldn't help but giggle. He looked like a child in Christmas who just got his favorite toy.

"Mr. and Mrs. Strange have matters to discuss in their room." He hinted, his beaming expression glancing at you back before facing the front once again.
