The Sixth Paladin

Chapter 6

"Great job training today guys, we're really getting the hang of Voltron." Shiro said, as we walked into the castle. Another day of training done.
"Seriously. How far do you think my kick sent that broken alien ship. Must have been like, a mile." Lance said, quite smugly.
"Yeah, that'll come in handy when the Galra challenge is to a soccer match." Keith retorted.
"It's kinda true Lance." I said from behind them.
"Hey, I did something cool, and you can't hang it. I get it. And don't take his side, Korra." Lance said.
"Your kick ruined our balance, we fell." Keith said, I winced as I remembered to possible whip lash I got from that.
"That falling part was Hunk's fault." Lance said, as we walked to the table where everyone else was.
"Hey!" Hunk said.
"Alright! Save your energy for fighting Zarkon." Shiro said, and lied back in a chair. I took my helmet off, and shook my ponytail to fall down my shoulders again. (What she didn't notice was Keith looking at her in awe with a blush.)
"Hello guys. How was the Voltron work out?" Coran entered, carrying a tray with a cover on it.
"We're getting​​ there. Are you and Allura almost done fixing the castle so we can leave? I feel like we're sitting ducks here on Arus." Shiro said.
"Just about. In the mean time to get your mind off those ducks your worried about, I made you guys an ancient paladin lunch." Coran said, making Hunk gasp in happiness. He took off the lid and it did not look like food. We all groaned in disgust, even Shiro.
"Coran, you just got me hooked on that goo and now your switching it up?" Hunk said.
"This is packed with nutrients." Coran responded.
"It looks like it's packed with worms." I said.
"It smells disgusting." Hunk pulled back from it.
"I know! That's how you know it's healthy!"
"Coran, we're on a plant now with fresh herbs,spices, what ever this thing is." Hunk said pulling out a plant that I don't want to know why he has. "Now off you'll exuse me, I'm heading back to the kitchen and spice things up." He said and walked off.
"Where's Pidge?" Shiro asked. I never noticed he was gone.
"He's probably checking on thoses prisoners we rescued from Zarkon. They might be waking soon." Coran said with a mouth full of that....stuff..
Shiro(it auto corrected shiro to shrooms I'm done) goes the get up and Coran shoves a spoon full of the stuff in his face.
"Open the hatch! Lion coming in!" Coran said.
"No. Just. No." Shiro said backing away, making me laugh.
"You don't know what you're missing!"

After a couple of minutes Hunk came back in, and slid some bowls of more appetizing looking food on the table. Lance gasped and dug in with me and Keith.
"They like the paladin lunch." Allura said.
"I don't wanna talk about it." Coran said looking away.
"I just got the booster working! We should be able to leave the planet and go find Zarkon." Allura said before a alarm sounded. We all stood up and Allura pulled up a hologram of the outside of the castle. A little alien, I guess, was running up to the castle, attempting to hid behind objects.
"What is that?"
"I don't know what it is. He's approaching the castle."
"Aww." Me and Hunk said.
"Doesn't look too dangerous." Lance said.
"You never know." Keith said,and got his bayard.
"No. Alteans believe in peace first. Let's go welcome him." Allura said and we all walked to the outside of the castle.
"Greetings I know you're there. No harm will come to you." Allura said to the bush that the little guy was hiding in. He jumped out and waved his sword.
"Aww." Me and Hunk said again.
"Wait! He could be dangerous. Drop your weapon." Keith said, stepping in front of us.
"Nobody takes Klaizap's weapon." He said.
"Keith, put that away. Please kind sir, accept my most humble apologies." Allura said.
"Huh? I am Klaizap, the bravest of our warriors. Our village is over that hill. I come seeking the answers. As to why the lion goddess is angry with her followers." He explained.
"Followers?"
"Lion goddess?"
"The one the ancients spoke of."
"What makes you think she's angered?" Allura asked.
"Destruction is everywhere. Fire rains from the heavens, and a giant dances in the sky." He says.
"I think he's talking about Voltron." Hunk whispers, very loudly I might add, to Lance
"Yeah I got that."
"You have not angered her." Allura said.
"How can you be certain?"
"Because I am Allura and this is my castle." Klaizap gasps and bows calling her the lion goddess.
"Please stand up. Take us to your village so that we may meet our neighbors." Allura said.
"What about our mission to get off this planet and find Zarkon?" Keith asks, clearly starting to get annoyed.
"Part of the paladins mission is to spread peace. Arus has been our home for 10,000 years. These people deserve your thanks." Allura said, turning to Klaizap who had an adorable smile on his face.

Hi I'm not dead just a disappointment to human kind. I decided to make this episode multiple parts so I can just go ahead and update cause I know y'all are getting impatient.
