God, how did I not notice she was there?

Her presence alone always sent shivers down my back.

Don't get me wrong. She was a beautiful girl.

Golden blonde hair strands were sent in long wavy wisps down her back; her tresses were let loose and seemed to flow without the wind. The most perfect angelic facial structure a person could ever hope to see was framed by her golden hair. The slim curvy body of a model with long tanned shapely legs. And of course, the lovely pouty pink lips that seemed so innocent and teasing. Her powerful aura only amplified the effect of her physical features. Her looks made her seem so much more mature than she actually was, but then again most werewolves in their teens were. We grow up much faster but age much slower. Females slowed their aging process at age 17 to 18 while males slow at around age 20 to 22. Even though it stops, we never really stop aging.

There was just one thing that made me unsettled.

Her eyes.

They were a pretty color, a stormy blue with glints of silver but... they were ice cold. Whenever I looked into them all I could see was a void.

Nothingness.

Even when she was happy, mad, or annoyed her facial features would change but her eyes never did like a doll. Like she wasn't even alive.

I feel like I'm one of the few that notice this. Tony noticed this too, but with his uncaring personality, he decided to ignore it. But you could feel sometimes that he was also troubled by it, like the fact he kept away his mate from her whenever possible. He was subtle about it, but I noticed this at school many times.

"Am I that beautiful? Are you just going to stare out me all day?" she smirked. I looked up at her. She rolled her eyes. "How pathetic. Being dumped by that thing. Judging by the way you got dumped by that fake irritating thing, I'll just say you had a bad day."

I couldn't deny how pathetic it was. I frowned. Usually, werewolves were enchanting to humans. We were alluring to them. To get dumped by one, was as she said:

Pathetic.

I had nothing to say, after all, I did get dumped before I could even convey my feeling, but I had to defend my high school crush. She had been pretty nice to me. And I guess it was my fault for being a creep about it.

"She's a sweet girl," I defended lamely.

Giselle just laughed.

"Please that thing acts like that for popularity. She knows if she doesn't act like that she won't be able to outshine me," Giselle snorted, "It's really so cliché, I'm not even playing whatever game she's trying to play. I don't need to. It's insulting that human attention-whore is trying to compare to me."

It was strange seeing Giselle act like this towards a human. Her acting like this towards shifters wasn't uncommon, but she usually left humans alone. She already instilled fear onto the wolves at school and in turn, the humans also don't mess with her from seeing the effect she has. She also has the clear don't touch me aura.

Giselle was the type to think all humans were beneath her.

I thought Lacey was one of the nicest people here. To be honest I don't talk much to people nor do I get out much, obviously. This has caused me to be a bit more naïve, as I've been told, more than others, so maybe Lacey was just that. Don't get me wrong, I'm smart, but common sense- wise I lack due to my social neglect.

"She's not some pathetic attention-seeker you're making her out to be. Not everything is about you, Evilynne. You're an egotistical brat that doesn't deserve all the good things you have. You may be smart but you're a malicious self-centered bi-" I stopped myself it would not be a good idea to curse at her. Besides I had already used her nickname, there was no need to go so far.
