Rain

The day went by pretty fast after the incident I had with Giselle. It most likely due to the fact I couldn't pay much attention in most of my classes.

I've already read every page of every textbook that my classes had offered this year. I thoroughly enjoy reading almost anything and with nothing to do at home gives me a lot of spare time.

I usually brought books home to get rid of my boredom. I've learned many things and most of my knowledge comes from reading.

When Tony told me about my lack of social skills and common sense, I started reading more books about it. I have learned so many things from everything I have read like: the human body, the human mind, life, love, social skills, economics, business, life, chemistry, war tactics, sex, hacking, computer-editing skills, and so much more.

From non-fiction and fiction alike I've learned how babies, kids, teens, and adults act.

My mother isn't home most of the time because of her job, but she made sure I stayed in the house, she even bought a security system that makes sure no one gets in and... no one gets out.

A couple of months ago I decided to test my skills, and I tried to deactivate it. It had worked. When she came back home I activated it again, and she noticed nothing.

Next, I decided I would be getting rid of the controls on the TV and the internet; it was so much easier than the security system.

The internet is an amazing place.

I had found this one site that had astounded me. Witches created it, and it could actually tell whether you were human or not.

I don't know how I came across it, but it was very suspicious. It sold illegal books, both human and non-human ones alike.

The strange thing about this site was that it took the money by hand when the package had arrived.

I decided to use my wit. The pack had its own post office where mail was delivered since we couldn't risk intruders entering our area. It was located near the entrance.

I asked my cousin, Tony if he could bring it to me. I had a hard time convincing him when he heard it sold forbidden items, and that I could possibly be scammed or killed for using, but for some reason, I didn't think that would happen.

Call it some unknown instinct but I didn't sense the site as any threat.

Soon Tony had caved and said he would do it for me but only this once. He always caved in when you pester him enough.

I never knew why but I never questioned it. I gave him the wad of cash that I had received from my mother on special occasions; I could never really spend it until that moment.

I don't even think my mother knows how much she ever gave me.

When I gave Tony the money, he just shook his head and said Spending so much on books, and then he made a 'tsk tsk' sound and left.

The order had come yesterday at around 7 P.M. I had ordered around 67 books. It had just occurred to me how I was going get them home. My mother wouldn't mind a couple at a time, but 67 books. I needed to think.

But I must say I should probably thank him. After all carrying those books for me and being my only friend throughout the years was one of the best gifts I have ever received.

He's also done a lot of things that I'm truly grateful for.

Now that I think about it, he has taken some risks to make my life bearable. I wasn't suffering from any physical pain but mentally, I was deteriorating.
