Tony POV
I've seen her angry plenty of times but today, she just looked lethal. It looked like she could crack any minute and when she cracks, it's NEVER good. Screw what my dad says. I don't think she should go talk to rogues at this state.
I ran a few paces ahead and stopped in front of her.
"What are you doing?" She snarled. It looked as though she were about to bite my head off. Knowing her, she actually just might try.
"Stopping you."
"Why?" Her voice snapped at me like a mouse trap going off.
"I don't think you should go. You don't look like you're in the negotiating mood." I replied softly, trying to sound soothing. I always used this voice whenever she got like this. I guess it was because whenever she was like this, it was like trying to soothe a wild animal.
"I'm fine."
She was trying biting back her annoyance at me. I knew there was no use trying to persuade her farther. The more you tried, the more stubborn she became. Not to mention she'd probably end up hurting me in some way to get her way.
This has happened plenty of times to me and many others…
Okay. Even though I said this, in the pit of my stomach I knew this couldn't end well. It was gnawing at me, telling me that I should probably be ready to hold her back.
I sighed. I didn't even understand why I was born in a Beta household. Wait I wasn't. It was supposed to be John's title, but he died along with his father. And Rain couldn't do it because he was left untrained. Either way, he ended up being her mate, so I would have been Beta anyway.

We had finally reached the clearing. We saw nine of the senior guards and about three rookies standing in a line protecting our pack lines and preventing the rogues from stepping further in to our land.
There were three of them. All were in human forms, but they were growling at our guards. They looked to be about our age. Werewolves tend to age faster in childhood and slow down the process in adulthood.
One was a red headed female with a bobbed haircut wearing dark washed jeans and a black hoodie. The two boys were in front of her, both were wearing black t-shirts and loose jeans. They tried to look as intimidating as possible. They all could have been around ages of sixteen to around twenty-five.
"What's going on?" Giselle addressed the senior guard, Henry Anderson with authority in her voice.
He looked at her. I saw an emotion pass through his eyes. I knew what it was. He had been the senior guard for this pack since Giselle's grandfather was Alpha. He was known for being ruthless at his training methods. He had even taught Giselle and me the basics when we had just started, but he had taught Giselle with reluctance. He was the extreme old-fashioned type. He barely let any female guards enter his elite unit. He also couldn't stand the fact that we may be one if the first packs to end up having a female heir.
He grumbled something so softly that even with my werewolf senses, I couldn't make it out, but I knew Giselle did. From the way she clenched her fists, I knew she did. She actually had tried to attack him when Giselle was about nine, but he had easily pinned her down and Giselle was punished. She was told to never try to attack him again or else she would be disciplined a thousand times worse.
