9. It's the Girl

Vanessa's POV:
There are two more weeks until Cameron is coming to stay and I am super excited.
I roll over in my bed and grab my phone.
I have a text from Cam. 

2 weeks later

Two weeks have passed and I feel like a kid sitting on my bed looking out of my bedroom window for the boys to arrive.
I suddenly see Cam pull up on the drive.
Without hesitation I run downstairs, out the door and into his arms.

Shawn's POV:
So Cameron and I are staying at his cousins for a while.
That means that I am staying in the same city that I saw that girl. Part of me wants to see her but, I am scared about what her reaction would be to my song if she knew she was the inspiration.
As we pull up onto the drive way, the front door swings open and a girl who I assume is Cameron's cousin darts out and jumps into his arms.
Her face is buried into Cam's shoulder as he spins her around.
Whilst they do their thing, I get out of the car and pop the trunk to get my bags.
Eventually Cam puts the girl down.

"This is Vanessa"

He gestures toward the girl busy  pushing her hair out of her face.
My jaw drops and my knees go weak.

It's the girl...

"Shawn, you alright?"

My face goes pale and I feel sick.

"Travel sickness."

I lie.

"You look like you are gonna hurl."
"I'll be fine, erm hey Vanessa I'm Shawn"
"Nice to meet you"

She smiles up at me.
All I want to do is pick her up, tell her she is the one I've been looking for and kiss her but then, she may not feel the same and Cam may not be pleased.

"You too"

I respond swallowing my feelings.
We follow Vanessa inside and she takes us up to her room.

"My mom goes away with work tomorrow so we will have more room then but for now we will stay in here."

I nod in agreement and then realise there is only her bed and a sofa.

"Who is on the sofa?"

Cam asks, beating me to it.

"I don't care but I'm in my bed and whoever can join me."

That's her reply? So blunt but somehow so perfect. I look at Cameron, obviously it would be him to sleep with her.

"I don't think Shawn is gonna fit on the sofa so I will take it."

I freeze. My hands are numb, now I'm sharing a bed with the girl of my dreams and she doesn't know how I even feel about her.

"Alright sounds good"

Vanessa says smiling again. She is so irresistible.
