Chapter 22

Bianca's POV

The door in my office opened and Hannah entered. I asked her to buy me ice cream that's why she went out. I just crave for one. She handed me the ice cream and I opened it.

"Thanks Hannah." I smiled.

"Of course Dra." She responded. "Dra., Mrs. Hung wants to see you."

My eyes widened and it stopped me from eating ice cream. I put it down and looked at her. "Who told you?" I asked her.

"Her grandson." She answered.

No possible way!

"What does she want to tell me?" I asked.

"She just wanted to thank you for taking good care of her."

I let out a chuckled. "No prob. Tell her it's fine."

"Her grandson said, personally." She raised an eyebrow.

"You know what, I'm going to buy coffee. Do you want one? Chocolatte? Mochaccino? Triple Americano? Espresso? Hot choco? Frappe? Anything." I told her.

"Why do you seem so afraid of her grandson? He's handsome, so handsome. And nice. And rich." She asked.

"Nothing."

I went out of my office to go to Dr. Ace. He might take this uncomfortable feeling I'm feeling. I was walking with my head down when I saw a foot on my shoes. I lifted my head to see it was.

"Bianca."

"How have you been? It's been a while." I forced a smile.

"Ayos lang. Ikaw?"

"Um, better?" I said.

"Bianca, we miss you already."

"I also do." I chuckled.

"Kailan ka babalik? It's been 4 years."

"I-i don't know." I shrugged.

"Gusto ka makita ni Halmeoni." He smiled.

"I really need to go somewhere. Hannah told me your grandma wanted to thank me. Tell her she's always welcome." Then I run.

My heart was beating faster and harder with every word he says. I thought my heart's gonna pop out of my chest to the floor. He's physically mature now. He's physical appearance got more manly. He really suits the business suit he was wearing. He looks really professional. He's eyes darken more, and got deeper.

I shook my head at that thought. Control, Bianca, CONTROL!

"Dra. Travis?"

"Dr. Ace. I was planning to go to your office, but I guess we met each other already." I laughed.

He smiled. "What are you doing? You were shaking your head like there's no tomorrow."

I chuckled. "Nothing."

I invited him to dinner so we can talk about things that are not involved in work. I wanted to get him off my mind. The dinner we had was fun. Inigo is a good friend. He has been nothing but nice to me. I really like him, actually. He's personality is way far than Brent's, as what I remember 4 years ago.

I went home once I have no scheduled patients and clients anymore. I wanted to take a rest. I'm physically, emotionally and mentally exhausted. Physically, from dealing with an operation and many patients. Emotionally and mentally, by what Brent is doing.

I layed myself on the bed and fixed my pillow when I felt a vibration from my phone. I pick up my phone from the table and took a look at it. It was a text message from Inigo.

"It was nice spending another two hours with you today." Then it have a smiley emoji on the end.

I smiled . "Yeah, me too." I replied.

After seconds, he replied to my response. "See you tomorrow then?"

"Yeah."

Then I fell asleep.

Brent's POV

Why does even pride happened?! I'll sure kill whoever felt it first! I hate this feeling! Kung hindi lang siguro nangyari itong pride na toh, baka nasabi ko na kay Bianca ang nararamdaman ko. Maybe she will not be with that guy! Maybe I was with her instead!

I angrily threw the glass in front of me. It was shredded and broken into hundred pieces, just like what she's doing to me while she was with him, laughing!

"Mister, please calm down." A man in a manager uniform said. "You'll have to pay for these damages."

"How much do you need?" I lazily asked.

"That'll cost you $43."

I took my wallet and threw a thousand dollar bill on the table and went straight out of the bar. I contacted Kristoff to let him know that my love life is all screwed up!

"Dude."

"Kristoff, si Bianca." That's all I could say.

"Yeah, she's in NY." I could imagine him smiling like an idiot. Not because he still likes her but because he knows that I'm already burning here.

I can imagine myself dragging the heck out of him for making fun of me. But instead of doing that, I calmed myself. I need some counselling. "Yeah, dude, please stop the heck! I do know you're already laughing your ass off. I think she's with someone." Those felt like knives.

Well, I hope she's not.

"What do you expect, Brent?! She has a new life. Do you still like her?"

"Yeah." Then I ended the call. That's all what I want to hear.

I don't even think that 'that' is what I'm really feeling. I don't know. I want to see her every second of my life. I want to hold her hand as we walked to anywhere. I wanted to hug her so tight. I want to make her laugh more than what that man can. I want to surprise her with breakfast-in-bed. I want to wake up next to her. I want to eat the viands she cooks. I want to go for a run with her. I want to spend the time I was in the bar doing shots with her in the room watching movies instead. I want to see her carrying our baby on her hand. I want to make her smile every second of her life. I want her to know that 'like' is not I'm feeling anymore. It's something else more.

More to like love.

I went back to the hospital to see halmeoni. She was sleeping in her bed with many white wires attached to her. I sat beside her and rest my head on the edge of the bed as I feel the alcohol taking control of me.

I was in a deep sleep when I heard voices talking. I opened my eyes and found Bianca and her assistant, Hannah, standing there. Bianca's back is facing me so she doesn't know that I am already awake. Hannah is busy talking to her so she also doesn't notice me.

They were checking on grandma. I don't want her to leave so I act asleep. Baka pumasok lang siya dito dahil alam niyang tulog ako. After checking out grandma, they went out of the ICU. I want to talk to her. Just like how we talk 4 years ago.
