As Lei started to get ready for her next round she gets a message from Kyungsoo saying,
"Morning! Hope you're ready for another adventure😌"
Lei thinks it's cute that Kyungsoo texts her encouraging texts and it makes her feel a little more confident in her competitions. When Lei arrived at the building, she noticed that the other four people were already out in front of the building. She looked at the time wondering if she was late, but she wasn't. So when Lei got out of the van, she asked one of the contestants,
"Hey, why is everyone standing out here?"
"Well, we are supposed to. Lee said so, and now we are out here."
"Oh ok. Do you know what we are doing today?"
"No, I really don't."
All of the sudden, everyone got a text from Lee Soo-Man at the same time. The message said the following,
"Hello fellow contestants! You have reached the semifinals of 5 people left, and now this is where things get tough. You may already be wondering what you will be doing this time. Well, you all will be working together. You guys will perform on Music Bank 3 different times and we and the fans will grade your guys effort, and the top two that are the best, will advance to the final round. A van will soon pick you up and drive you to the stage, and then you will go on from there. Thank you and have a wonderful time!"

The girls really did not expect this to happen, they were going to be on a music show and perform with everyone together. And everyone looked at each other, as if they thought everyone was a total stranger. How would they perform when they didn't even know the choreography. When the van arrived, the contestants got another message that had a link to a song with choreography. They played it and saw the choreo, which looked so intense. So the whole ride there, they watched the video, practicing and memorizing the steps and all. When they arrived to the place, there were so many fans waiting, as if Black Friday was everyday and people were just waiting. All the fans wanted to see and meet them, and Lei wanted to, but the security guards blocked her and guided her to the place where they needed to be. When they entered, they were greeted by staff and workers of the place. They showed them the backroom and that's where they rested until they had to practice. There were special gift baskets, each from their leader. Lei's basket had fruits inside it, also with pistachios and some sort of honey. There was also a message on the basket,
"Good luck today! I'll be watching you from the fans view. I love you so much!"

Lei was happy to see this from Kyungsoo. She realizes that others got them candy and sweets, but Lei got stuff because Kyungsoo wants her health to be good for tonight's performance. As the night grew and so did the amount of fans, they started to do other popular groups going first, like ASTRO and IU and LABOUM. Then they heard,
"Special stage presenters, follow me."
Lei was now aware that they were the special stage people performing. When they got on stage the guide person said that they would begin in two minutes. Lei saw Kyungsoo through the stage props, which was a window and clock. Then the music began, and Lei started to dance Play: Playing with Fire by BLACKPINK
The performance was so great! And everyone loved seeing and hearing the song again. Lei did Rosé's part and everyone went crazy for her. But now was the harder part. They now have to partner with their leader and do a duet song. So Kyungsoo and Lei went first, and they were both really prepared. Play: Stay by Zedd Choreo by Tim Milgram
Everyone was in shock. The choreography was so intense and they have never seen this side of Lei or Kyungsoo before. They cheered and cheered for them because they were a great duo. After everyone else did their dances, Lee Soo-Man came up and announced the final two people.
"I'm glad you all are here today to hear the announcement of who will be going to the finals of this competition. I'm going to be honest, this is one of the hardest choices in my life. Well, I don't want to give any of you so much anticipation, so let's begin. With our first person, the first finalist will be... Roe Chihun."
Everyone clapped for him. He was an athletic dancer with a mature voice. His partner is Taemin, so it's no suprise he's a good dancer. Then, Lee announced the second, and everyone was waiting with anticipation.
"And now, the second finalist. The next person, who will be going to the final round, and possibly having a chance as a singer is... Lei Coles"
People were screaming and cheering for Lei. She also was very shocked and was shaking while walking up to Roe to be one of the finalists of this competition.
"I present to you, the finalists of our competition."
Cheers and claps were coming from everywhere and Lei looked and saw Kyungsoo, who looked a little upset. Lei was very confused about it and after the awards, went up to him.
"Hey Kyung, is everything ok?"
Kyungsoo looked at Lei with a tear running down his face.
"Kyung, what's wrong? What's going on?"
"I can't be with you."
"What? What do you mean?"
"If you join the company, you'll be restricted to date anyone, ever. So if you join, we can't be together."
"Seriously? Why? I want to join, but I also don't want to lose you like I've lost my parents. Kyung, you're like a parent to me. Do I have to agree to that part? Can I talk to Lee about this?"
"No. He doesn't know about this. If he finds out, he will throw me off of EXO, and mayhem will occur with the whole EXO society. I don't really know what to do. I want to do something, but what?"
"I don't know Kyung, I honestly don't know. I'm really sorry."
After that day, the two were quiet. They both didn't really know what to do. So Lei had to do what was right.
