Harry's POV:

While Sara, her mom, and her younger sister were in the kitchen, I got to spend time with her dad and her brother. Lucky me.

It's not that I don't like Mr. Patterson or Will. It's that they don't really like me. I mean, if I'd had a knocked up daughter that had been dumped by the baby's father, I wouldn't like the kid either. But I'm trying to make it right. Sara and I are living together and I even put together our daughter's nursery.

I still remember seeing the news of Sara's pregnancy on TV. The reporter was talking about our breakup, which was hard to hear.

But then she added, "Little does Harry know that Sara Patterson is reportedly pregnant. She's been spotted leaving a women's center a lot recently and even has a baby bump."

As soon as I heard that, my heart nearly stopped beating. Liam, Niall, and Louis turned and stared at me, their jaws practically on the floor.

"Harry, did you know?" Niall asked quietly.

"No, she never told me," I said, "We were super careful. I was super careful. Right?"

"Knowing Sara, there's no way that the baby isn't yours, mate," Liam said.

I was in absolute shock. We'd had a break between shows on tour, so I hopped on a plane to Los Angeles as soon as I could and I went and saw Sara.

I remember how my heart was pounding and how my mind was racing all over the place. It all stopped when I saw her open her door. I knew in that moment that Sara was the love of my life and that she was it for me. Cheesy and a bit cliche, I know, but it's true.

Mr. Patterson's voice snapped me out of my thoughts.

"Harry? Hello?" Mr. Patterson asked, clearly annoyed.

"Yes, sir? Sorry I was lost in thought," I apologized quickly.

"I was wondering why you haven't asked Sara to marry you yet," he said.

"Um, well, I really want to. I love your daughter very much, sir, but I don't want her to think I'm proposing just because she's pregnant," I explained.

Mr. Patterson nodded. "But you plan to? After she has the baby?"

"Absolutely."

"The thing is, Harry, Will and I are very protective over Sara, especially after you broke up with her. She was pregnant and you left her," Mr. Patterson said.

I took a deep breath before saying, "With all due respect, neither one of us knew that Sara was pregnant at the time. She didn't even tell me, I found out on the news."

"Would you have left her if you'd known that she was pregnant?" Will asked.

"I shouldn't have left her at all, and I definitely wouldn't have if I had known," I answered.

I didn't know why Will and Mr. Patterson were suddenly grilling me. Yes, Sara and I broke up, but I'm here now. That had to count for something, didn't it? I loved Sara with everything I had and I knew I would never stop.

Just as Will opened his mouth to speak, Allie poked her head into the room, telling us that dinner was ready.

Sara's POV:

Harry, my dad, and Will walked into the dining room and sat at the dinner table. Harry sat down next to me and put his hand over mine. There was something in his eyes that was...off. I knew him well enough that I could usually tell what might be wrong, but I couldn't this time.

"Are you okay?" I asked, the concern evident in my voice.

"We'll talk later," Harry whispered.

I raised one of my eyebrows at him. "We'll talk later" almost always meant that something was wrong. I decided not to dwell on it too much and focused on the dinner conversation. Harry reached over to my hand and laced my fingers with his. I smiled at him and he returned the gesture.

After dinner, Harry and I decided to go home. We said our goodbyes to my family and got into our car. Then we pulled out of the driveway and went on our way to our house.

A/N:
