( Your POV )

I walked through the elevator doors that led me down to the exam site. I looked around to see hundreds of men glaring at me as I walked into the room. " woah!!! " when I say hundreds I mean it, I seem to have gotten a few dirty looks but just decided to shake them off. " look, there's a little girl trying out this year " " she better leave now before she gets hurt " I heard a few conversations going on around me but tried to stay positive anyway. ' what do they know they're all just a bunch of deadbeats '.

I walked over to a nearby wall and decided to lean against it and try to rest a little bit before the exam actually starts. But that's when I noticed someone start to walk towards me I looked over to see a short, fat man with tan skin, brown hair, and thick eyebrows. " hey there!! I've never seen you here before are you new " The man started to talk to me I just looked at him with a confused expression, why was this middle-age man trying to talk to me? I usually loved to meet new people, but now being in such a tense area it's not exactly... Safe to just walk up to people and ask them how they're days been.

" I actually am new here, this is my first year trying out for the hunter exam, why? " " I could just tell, my name is Tonpa by the way this is actually my 34th Time trying out for this hunter exam " he said with such a careless expression I was having a hard time trying to believe him. " really this is your 34th time,....Well at least you don't give up Tonpa, my name is Y/N by the way, it's nice to meet you " he gave me a smile and stepped a little closer to me. I can't really put my finger on it, but something seems a little off about him, I just don't know what yet.

We talked for a little bit and my suspicions grew even more. After awhile he reached into his pocket and pulled out two orange drinks telling me that we should make a toast to new friends. I was hesitant at first but decided to trust Tonpa, my grandmother always told me to give people a chance. I grabbed the drink from his hand and gave him a smile " thank you Tonpa ".

( Tonpa's POV )

I handed Y/N the orange drink with a smile as she took it and gave me one back, ' haha, I love messing with these rookies it brings me such joy. She doesn't even know what's coming. ' I watch her open the can of soda, she was about to take a sip but stoped almost instantly. She looked at the drink confused and looked back to me suspiciously witch made me nervous.

" um....what's wrong, what's with the face? " I asked her as she continued to stare. " hmm...I think this Drink might be expired or something, it smells weird Tonpa " her expression softens and she gave me a worried look. " um...oh no I'm sorry about that, please forgive me " " it's alright just don't give it to anyone else, or something bad might happen " she said waving off to me with that annoying bright smile of hers. ' damn that drink was supposed, ruined her chances of every becoming a hunter '

That drink I gave her had a special poison in it that would make anyone's stomach ache with agonizing pain, but she realized what was wrong before she could drink it Damn.

( Your POV )

" we'll talk to you later Tonpa " I walked back to were I was sitting before, bored out of my mind. I was never really known for being a patient person but that's ok, if I can't master patients, I'll never be able to become a hunter. After awhile the elevator doors opened once more and almost everyone was staring at the elevator doors wanting to know who would step out. I was a little curious myself, so I also had my eyes glued to the elevator door.

When the elevator doors fully opened, three people walked out. One of them had medium blond hair with grey eyes, he looked familiar, but I shook it off, another with brown eyes, black hair, and a spiked crew cut. And lastly the one that really caught my eye was a little boy who looked about my age with long spiky black green tipped hair and large, hazel brown eyes. I was starting at all three of them intensely not realizing it, but looked away when the boy in the green jacket with reddish edges looked back at me.

He gave me confused look then smiled, and started to walk towards me. I was getting a little nervous, I wasn't sure whether or not he was going to yell at me for staring at him or something totally different . " hey there!! I saw you staring is there something you want " I froze for a minute and looked at him confused. " my name is Gon what's yours " I was still just staring at him confused and a little embarrassed but after a while started to laugh. " huh?? What's so funny " " nothing I was just laughing at how bold you are, my name is Y/N by the way, Y/N L/N " I said back to him with a bright smile and holding out my hand.

He blushed a little and took my hand, witch was kinda cute in my opinion, but I shook it off. " i'm sorry for staring at you and your friends Gon " " that's ok Y/N you didn't do anything wrong, hey Kurapika, Leorio, come here for a sec!!!!! " he screamed gesturing to the other boys I saw before. " Gon not so loud do you not feel the tension in the air " " oops sorry Leorio, but in any case I would like you to meet someone, this is Y/N L/N " I looked up to them both and gave them warm smiles. " I'm Kurapika it's nice to meet you miss L/N " he said smiling back " oh-no- please Y/N is fine I insist. "

" and I'm Leorio, it's a pleasure " " likewise " After introductions were out of the way Gon asked me if I came here with someone, or meant someone else on the way here. I told him that I was alone and it surprised him for some reason. " but your such a nice girl, anyone would want to hang with you " I blushed at his comment. " thanks Gon, but I'm not really worried now that I've meet people like you three. I felt like our conversation went on for hours, even though it's only been a few minutes, that was until the so called examiner entered the premises. I could tell that it was going to be a long day, but with my new friends by my side I didn't really mind.
