Staying Together

( Y/N POV )

" GOAL!!! " shouted me Gon and Killua as we crossed our imaginary finish line, passing the examiner as we did so. " Yeah I did it, I finished first " said Gon as he waved one arm in the air. " what are you talking about I totally won, so you guys have to by me dinner " Killua said adding to our little dispute. " I think both of you need to get your eyes checked because I obviously crossed the finish before you guys did, so you have to by me dinner " I continued. This little conversation wasn't getting anywhere so I turned to mr. Satotz and politely asked him which one of us had crossed first. " you three crossed simultaneously "

We all looked at him disappointed, " ok...how about this, Y/N has to by my dinner I by killua's dinner and killua has to by Y/N's dinner. " Gon had a big goofy smile on his face. Killua and I just looked at each other confused but I just shrugged at him. " ok, I'm cool with that " I said " really?? I don't get it " Killua questioned as he put his hands back into his pockets. " hey mister Satotz is this were the second Faze starts? " I asked him.

" I'm afraid not, we still have a long way to go " he replied emotionless. " aww man " said Gon I turned to him and smiled warmly he looked away with a small shade a pink lingering on his face. Is he blushing? I asked myself, but like with every situation I just brushed it off.

( Small time skip )

" Hey Kurapika!! " said Gon as Kurapika and Leorio arrived out of breath, witch is understandable. We just had gotten finished running for 6 straight hours.

" Hey. Is this our destination? " " nope not yet! " I answer staring intensely at the fog in front of us. I don't know why but I always loved fog along with rain, it kinda gives me a calm vibe that helps me relax.

But not this one, the one I was staring at gave me a very different vibe. Something was telling me that it would be really dangerous to just take a stroll through this fog. we should stick together.

I wasn't really a fan of scary creepy stuff, but that other part of me that likes to explore sometimes gets the best of me. So I have to be really careful. " it looks like the fog is lifting " said kurabika as I snapped out of my current state and looked for myself.

" whoa!! " Me and Gon said in unison their were plenty of places I could explore in and a bunch of new plants and animals I could see in person. I don't think this is going to end well for me.

" ok now that everyone is here and accounted for I will now explain, we are in swindler swap, we must cross it to reach faze two of the exam. However this swap isn't your ordinary swap, it is the home of a variety of different animals " said Satotz ' cool I wonder what I could fine...wait.. no I have to stay focused '.

" these animals feast on humans, so listen very carefully, if your dicivid you'll surly die " everyone started to whisper to each other about what mr. Satotz had just said. " these wetland creatures are not to be underestimated, for they will you use every trick in the book to fool their prey, this is why it is also known as Swindler swamp. Now then let's begin. "

" Don't fall for it!! " someone shouted as we all turned to see a normal average looking man, but had cuts and bruises on his body and his shirt was a little torn. " he's lying to you, he is an imposter. I'm the real examiner!! "

Everyone started to grow confused and looked back to the so called imposter. " imposter!! What's going on " said Leorio "who is he really? "

" I'll prove it to you " the man pulled out a creator with an app like structure but had the same face as mr. Satotz our examiner. " wow that looks like mr. Satotz! " said Gon. I looked over to the two and saw that Gon had a look of amazement on his face but didn't seemed worried at all. While Killua just looked bored out of his mind.

The man was started to try and prove why he was the real examiner, saying stuff like how man faced apps make themselves look like humans to trick their prey because of how week they are, or something like that. " that explains a lot " " I knew he was a fake. People started to shout. I however wasn't convinced and none of my pals seemed convinced either, well except for Leorio.

Just when I was about to say something, six different card started to fly. Three on one direction to the man and three others flew towards mr. Satotz. Mr. Satotz seemed to have cot his cards with ease while the other guy was to slow and was hit with all three killings him in the process.

Everyone seemed to have stop in their tracks and turned to face the man who threw the cards. " what the? " Leorio questioned as we all saw a man with very frightening aura surrounding his body. Giving me a bad feeling. I wouldn't want to get on his bad side.

" so I see, that settles it then, you are the real examiner " said the man "these examiners are hunters. Each one has been hand picked by the exam committee, so they surly would be able to reflect that attack and very easily I might add "

" I shall take that as a compliment thank you " said Mr. Satotz " but still if you choose to attack me again for any reason, then I will have no choice but to report you for attacking an examiner and you will be immediately disqualified, am I clear " " of course " answered the magician.

I turned to my right to see birds already starting to eat the fake examiner. " Nature can be so brutal it's hard to watch. " said Leorio " we can't let our guard down " Killua said. " yeah, we'll have to stick together " Gon added.

" um...hey Gon Killua " I asked them softly as I pulled on the sleeves of their shirts. They both looked at me confused. " who's that " I asked pointing to the man who helped solve the mystery, but in a over extended way. " oh...that's Hisoka number 44 " answers Gon as he turned to look at him. " he's really dangerous so I wouldn't suggest getting anywhere near him " added Killua.

" ok. Then I will just have to stay with you guys, you all seem to have your own special way of doing things witch makes this whole thing very interesting for someone like me " They both looked at me confused. " what do you mean Y/N " asked Gon " oh!! Never mind forget I said anything...um hey look! We're starting to move. Let's go before we get separated from the group. " I pulled both of them by the arm and started to drag them off as we ran to catch up with the other applicants, while Leorio and Kurapika followed.
