Your POV

The sun was out and bright as ever, I yawned, still a little tired. Killua and I were now walking back to the islands peek to wait for the boat to come pick us up.

" hey Killua " he looked to me as we continued to walk side by side. " how do you think the others are doing? " I asked just a little worried, I haven't seen them at all for the whole week it's just Killua and I, not that I was complaining.

" I'm sure their fine Y/N " he sounded slightly agitated but I just shrugged and we continued to walk.

An hour later we arrived and I smiled relieved that this faze was almost over. " ok then," we heard our guide start to speak " the applicants that our here so far please step forward, we will now check your badges " I smiled and grabbed my badge from out of my backpack.

" Number 44 Mr Hisoka, Number 53 Mr Pokkle, Number 99 Mr Killua, Number 117 Miss Y/N, Number 301 Mr Gittarackur, Number 191 Mr Bodoeo, and lastly Number 294 Mr Hanzo. So it lookes like only 6 applicants have passed " I frowned and looked to Killua.

" Gon!! " he looked at me sadly at first but then a huge smile was splattered onto his face. I followed Killua's eyes and saw Gon, Leorio, and Kurapika slowly make their way over to us.

" so the last three are, Number 404 Mr Kurapika. Number 403 Mr Leorio. And Number 405 Mr Gon. Congratulations all of you for passing the fourth faze of the Hunter  exam. " I cheered softly to myself making Gon giggle.

We were now boarding the airship and I couldn't help but noticed that Leorio and Gon looked hurt. " what happened to you guys " I asked with a worried tone. Leorio just smiled and patted my head before speaking " don't worry about it, I'm fine, just need sleep " he walked away leaving me with Gon and Kurapika. I was about to speak but I was stopped.

" it's ok Y/N, we already handled it please don't worry we're really fine " said Gon with a close eyed smile. I reached into my bag and took out some wipes and Gon grew confused.

" at least let me clean you up " I grabbed his chin pulling his face closer to mine so I could clean him up and he blushed. " Their. all done " I pulled back and put my wipes back into my bag. " how about you Kurapika are you alright? " he slowly turned red and looked away. " yes Y/N I'm fine, thanks though "

" attention all applicants " someone began to speak on the intercom and everyone looked up. " The chairman wishes to interview you, when you hear your number come to the reception room on the second floor. Will start with number 44 Mr Hisoka. Thank you for your corroboration "

Hisoka's interview~
Third POV

" come on in take a seat " said the chairman warmly. Hisoka chuckled in amusement " don't tell me this is the final faze? "

" well, this is not the test itself I just need to ask a few questions, mostly to satisfy my own curiosity " Hisoka smirked and walked closer and sat down on the pillow in front of the chairman.

" first question, why exactly do you want to become a hunter "

" Well if I'm being completely honest I don't, however a hunters license can be incredibly useful. For example hunters can often kill without any fear of prosecution "

The chairman didn't even flinch at his rather creepy answer but just continued with the interview. " moving on, out of all the applicants which one are you keeping a close eye on? "

" Number 99. Although numbers 405 and 117 also caught My eye but not like number 99. I would love to challenge all of them one day. " he laughed

" ok then, one last question then we're done. Which of the other eight remaining applicants would you least want to fight? "

Hisoka thought about it for a moment before answering. " that would have to be...number 117 although numbers 405 and 99 come close. The time simply isn't right and they all still need to get polished "

" understood, well thank you for your time "

The interviews continued as each applicant was called, all you and your friends could do was wait for your turns patiently chatting trying to make time go by faster.

Your POV

" I want to become a hunter so I can find my brother. And I'm keeping a close eye on Numbers 405, 404, 99, and 403, just for positive reasons though. That is also why I wish not to fight either of them "

The Chairman nodded and thanked me for my time I stood up and smiled at him before walking out the door.

The sun was beginning to set and I was wondering the halls of the airship trying to find any of my friends. That was until I spotted Gon and Kurapika talking and walked over.

" hey guys " I waved. " hey Y/N, I was just going to look for you and say goodnight. I'm going to bed we could all use as much sleep as we can get " said Kurapika as he started to walk off.

" ok see ya Kurapika " I turned to Gon and raised an eyebrow. He didn't face me even when I called out to him. Why was he avoiding me, did I do something wrong. " Gon is everything ok" I asked turning him around and seeing his face. It looked like he'd been crying.

My eyes widened and I hugged him tightly and he hugged back. " are you frustrated? " I asked and he nodded. " do you want to get it off your chest? It ok, you can tell me anything "

He hesitated for a moment but then finally decided to speak. " during the faze their was a little situation that I couldn't control. When I finally came up with the perfect tactic on how I was going to get my hands on Hisoka's badge I screwed it up!! "

You didn't need to be a genius to figure out that Gon was really upset and angry at himself. I've never seen him this way, granted we've only known each other for a short time it pains me to see him like this.

" Go on " I said telling him to continue. " well...something had happened to were he decided to just give his badge to me. Then he said I owed him. I told him I didn't need it then...he sent me flying with one punch"

I didn't say anything, I wanted to make sure I herd him out completely before saying anything. " I was just so mad at myself. I couldn't do anything. I was helpless against him. " tears started to fall from his eyes once more and smiled softly to myself. I leaned in slowly and kissed him on his right cheek.

He stopped crying and looked to me wide-eyed. I blushed slightly and smiled " listen Gon. It's ok to feel that way sometimes, we're only human. Besides this'll just give you the motivation you need to kick his ass next time! "

He stood there silent for a little bit before giggling with the blush he had on before still completely visible.

" Gon...t-thank you for everything. With out you none of us would have made it this far. I'm grateful. " his blush grew as I took his hands in mine and said.

" I-I would love it if I could continue this adventure with you, Killua, Kurapika, and Leorio even when the exam is over. I-if that's ok with you "

I looked away from him embarrassed while our hands were still firmly together . " of course!! " I looked back up at him.

" I couldn't even imagine you not being by our side!! "
