Chapter 34

Jerome

I was playing a video game in the living room while Nolan was napping on the couch. He had been napping a lot, which was actually a good thing. For starters, he wouldn't be stressing out during the day when he didn't have to. And another thing, he still didn't get much sleep so napping during the day definitely helped make it through the rest of the day.

Besides, Nolan looked so adorable when he was asleep. I couldn't be luckier marrying such a good looking and adorable guy.

Nolan's cell phone buzzed with a message, so I paused the game to look at it. His dad sent a text to all the Prince children, saying that Poppy was in labor and they were at the hospital now, and he would tell them when the baby was born so everyone could go visit.

And I decided to be awesome and reply.

Nolan: Can my insanely hot husband come too?

Ryder: Give Nolan his phone back, Jerome.

Nolan: Don't assume my name. I am Nolan.

Ryder: The fact that you told me not to assume your name only proves that you are in fact Jerome.

Grayson: Clone, stop being rude. That could very well be your brother.

Ryder: Yeah, my brother IN LAW.

Nolan: I'm sorry, but what does the name on the phone say? Nolan, right? Bitch.

Orchid: Hi, Jerome.

Nolan: I'm Nolan.

Alan: Nolan doesn't swear, Jerome. If you're going to pretend to be someone, do it properly.

Ryder: See, Jerome? Listen to Alan.

Alan: Yeah. I'm so good at it that they think I'm Alan.

Orchid: Who are you, impostor?

Alan: I am human, and that's all you have to know.

Ryder: Does Alan even have any friends that could pretend to be him?

Alan: Well, that's rude. I'm not his friend anyway. He's making me and Tulip food so I took his phone.

Orchid: Athena?

Nolan: Who's Athena?

Alan: Who's Jerome?

Nolan: Uh, Nolan's husband.

Alan: Oh, right, the Jer part of Jerlan. Tulip fangirls over it all the time. And to answer your question, I'm Tulip's best friend.

Orchid: Why do you have Alan's phone?

Alan: Like I said, he's making me and Tulip food, and he was getting a lot of texts so I checked it and decided to impersonate him

Ryder: That's childish.

Alan: I'm eleven, so fight me.

"Why are you on my phone?" Nolan suddenly asked in a tired voice.

"Oh, because you're dad sent a mass text to your siblings, so I decided to be you," I said, looking over at Nolan, who still looked adorable. "They knew."

"How did they know?" Nolan asked. "It's just a bunch of words?"

"Oh, because I said bitch," I said.
