Chapter 5
First Big Problem
Matteo’s P.O.V.
Nagising ako ng nakahug ng mahigpit saakin. She was hugging me so tight na halos d na ako makahinga. Suddenly, she started sobbing quietly. I felt her tears fall to my shoulders and she started whispering. “I’m really, really sorry. I love you so much, Matt. Don’t leave me okay?”
“Hey, baby naman… Bakit mo naman iniisip yun? I won’t leave you. Besides, we’re married na ulit diba?”
“I’m really sorry.” She sobbed again. Wala akong magawa but to hug her back as I felt her pain stabbing through me. I’ve never seen her so hurt, rather, so… scared.
“Are you not telling me something babe? Is there something bothering you?” I told her as I held her face between my hands so she could look straight into my eyes and planted a soft kiss in her forehead.
Bigla niyang iniwas yung tingin niya saakin and nagkunyari na nagpupunas nung tears niya. “Nevermind, babe. It was just a bad dream. I’ll go to the bathroom muna.”
She just turned her back on me like nothing happened. And from the moment she walked through the bathroom, I know that something is wrong.
Lia’s P.O.V.
“Lia, wala ka bang napapansin na iba kay Erika at Enzo?” Tanong saakin ni Nikka habang kumakain kami ng sandwich na gawa ni Nikka sa dining room. Tanaw kasi naming dito sila Erika at Enzo na naguusap sa living room at mukhang seryoso.
Ilang araw na silang ganyan ni Enzo na pati kaming friends at asawa ni Erika ay nagtataka na. And Erika has been acting really weird since nung namasyal sa Versailles a few days ago. She’s been spaced out lately. Lagi nalang nagi-idle. Hindi mo makakausap ng matino at laging matamlay. Lagi niyang kausap si Enzo ng seryoso tapos laging sobrang sweet kay Matt kahit hindi naman sya ganun dati. T.T
