Happy Birthday, Rein!

Erika’s P.O.V.

 

“Happy birthday, Rein!!” Sabay sabay kami nagshout when she entered our front door.

Kinarga agad sya ni Enzo and Rein hugged him tightly while laughing. I can really see how didcated Enzo is in being a father. “Happy 6th birthday baby! Big girl ka na!” My daughter just laughed and kissed Enzo in his cheek.

Lumapit naman si Matt to kiss Rein in her cheek. Enzo put her down and Matt kneeled down so Rein can hug him as well.

“Mommy! Mommy! Look what Michael gave me for my birthday!” She ran towards me while holding a blue and pink paper bag. She placed the paper bag beside her and pulled out a pink dress with cute little flowers embroidered sa dulo ng dress.

“That’s nice baby. Si Tita Denisse mo siguro gumawa niya for you. Happy birthday, baby.” I kissed her forehead and hugged her.

“Yes, momma! Michael told me Tita Denisse made this for me. And he gave me chocolates… but we ate it.” She said explaining her chocolate covered shirt.

“Who’s Michael??” Enzo asked while nakakunot ang noo. Haha. Natawa ako. Super protective naman sa princess niya.

“Papa, he’s my boyfwend” My daughter simply answered while blushing.

“WHAT?!” Biglang nanlaki ang mata ni Enzo tapos lumuhod sya sa harap ni Rein and held her fragile face in between his hands lovingly. “Baby, you’re too young to have a boyfriend, okay? Papa needs you to tell Michael he can’t be your boyfriend. Bestfriend lang… ha?? Baby gets mo si Papa??”

Si Matt naman natawa ng malakas while watching Enzo desperately explaining to Rein why she can’t have a boyfriend. Pero ako natataw din. Kasi naman laro lang yan ng mga bata tapos Enzo is pinicking na. Pano pa kaya pag dalaga na si Rein. Hahaha

Enzo was still carrying Rein habang si Matt naman karga si Bliss while she was sleeping. My two little boys came inside the house running with a pink headband.

“Ate, ate!! Happy birthday!!!” Binaba ni Enzo si Rein and the twins hugged her and gave the headband. “Ate, gift namen shayo oh.”

Rein wore the headband tapos they went sa backyard to play muna. Si Matt naman, nagpaalam na aakyat muna sa kwarto at magpapahinga kasama si Bliss. All of us had our half day lang sa office to prepare for Rein’s birthday party.

Sumunod kami ni Enzo sa backyard at pinanood maglaro si Rein and yung kambal. Naghahabulan sila habang nagtatawanan.

“Alam mo, thankful ako for what you did before. If you didn’t set me free, things wouldn’t go this way.”

“I was thankful I did that too.” I saw his mood shift and her started to look at the ground.
