Over Protective?

Silver's POV

So, it's been three weeks since I'd told Shadow about the baby. He still couldn't believe it, so he took me to a hospital to get a picture of the baby. The results were amazing, well in my point if view; on Shadow's, he fainted...

"Okay, I'm ready. We better get going or we're gonna be-" "Do you think the baby will be alright? What if you get hurt? What if I don't know what to do if your water brakes?!" He asked panting. I grabbed him into a hug and rubbed his back. "Shadow, it'll be fine. Besides the baby won't be born until nine months go by." I whispered softly.

"What if I'm not a good father?" He asked looking at me. I kissed his lips and quickly disconnected. "You'll be fine, the baby is gonna love you." I said looking into his eyes. "We better hurry or we'll be late again." I said looking away and turning toward the doorknob. He followed me. We took a cab to the restaurant we were dinning at. When we got there, our reservation was right by the fountain.

"Oh, Shadow it's beautiful..." I said looking at the moon light that shone in from our window. I took Shadow's hand and put it over mine. He smiled. I felt a light kick in my stomach. "Ahh..." I gasped lightly. Shadow's ears perked up.

"Silver are you okay?" He asked. "Fine, the baby just kicked a bit..." I said smiling at him.

Shadow's POV

I'm really worried about Silver, I still can't get over that I got Silver pregnant. It's been three weeks after he had told me about him and I've been very over protective. I need to stop acting so nervous every time we go somewhere. I'm just worried. What if the baby doesn't make it through those nine months? I've got to protect Silver and our baby. I wouldn't dare to lose one of them.

"I think we better go. It's late and the baby must get rest." Silver said. "Alright." I paid the bill and called us a cab. It took us home. We entered our room and laid in the bed. I made sure I didn't hurt Silver. "Good night babe..." I said kissing his cheek. "Good night too you too!" He said kissing my lips. I fell asleep.

Silver's POV

I grabbed my phone and texted Sonic. "How's it going with the baby?" He texted me. "Pretty good, Shadow is a little worried though." "He's just a little over protective. You know, all fathers are like that when their partner is going to have a baby." He texted. "You're right, I shouldn't worry. I bet he'll be calm when he gets used to the baby." I texted. "Alright, good night." "You too." I texted back and put my phone away.

I just hope these mine months go well. I don't want Shadow to worry too much. I just need to rest my brain, that's all...
