"Favorite food?"

"Food."

"No, your favorite food."

"I know. I don't have one, have you met me?"

Aaron laughed and I followed.

He kept good on his promise, and we were hanging out at my house.

Right now, I wore a simple black tank top, black bra, and dark jeans with rips at the front of my thighs. Aaron wore a gray T-shirt, and jeans as always.

We laid on my bed, our arms at our sides and heads next to each other.

We've been talking for hours in this bed and I've cherished every moment.

"You should sing."

"Hm?"

"You've said that you sing, but I've never heard it. I doubt you let Zoey hear either."

I shook my head, my ears and neck pink. "No I haven't. But, I just-"

"Why?"

I shrugged, hugging myself.

"Please?"

"Mnnn," I hummed.

"Please?" He dragged out in a purr. Add my face to the list of blushing areas.

"Fine." I mumbled.

I decided on a song that I wrote. . . who knows how long ago.

But it's not my worst or my best.

I glanced over at the piano, and got up to it. Once I sat on the small bench, I tested the keys and licked my lips. Here we go.

"I can't sleep tonight,
Wide awake and so confused,
Everything's in line,
But I am bruised.

I need a voice to echo,
I need a lie to take me home,
I kinda need a hero.
Is it you?

I never see the forest for the trees,
I could really use your melody,
Baby I'm a little blind,
I think it's time,
For you to find me.

Can you be my nightingale?
Sing to me,
I know you're there.
You could be my sanity,
Bring me peace,
Sing me to sleep,
Say you'll be my nightingale.

Somebody speak to me,
'Cuz I'm feelin' like hell.
Need you to answer me,
I'm overwhelmed.

I need a voice to echo,
I need a lie to take me home,
I need a star to follow,
I don't know.

I never see the forest for the trees,
I could really use your melody,
Baby I'm a little blind,
I think it's time - for you to find me.

Can you be my nightingale?
Sing to me,
I know you're there.

You could be my sanity
Bring me peace,
Sing me to sleep,
Say you'll be my nightingale,

I don't know I'd do without you,
Your words are like a whisper come through,
As long as you are with me here tonight,
I'm good.
Can you be my nightingale
Feels so close, I know you're there,

Oh, ooh, oh, nightingale.
Sing to me, I know you're there.
Cuz baby you're, my sanity.
You bring me peace, sing me to sleep,
Say you'll be my nightingale.

Oh,
Mnn, mhm, oh."

I finished and laughed lightly for a second. I'll admit I miss singing, I don't do it often.
