Chapter 3 :)

~~~~~~~~~
I glance down at my arm, hoping he'll realize that his hand is still gripped to mine. Following my glance, he quickly moves his hand and scratches the back of his neck.
"Sorry," he mutters, looking around, as if looking for a distraction.
I chuckle, clearly amused by him. He turns towards me again and widens his eyes just a bit in confusion. "What?"
I laugh again. "Nothing. You're just cute," I reply.
But as soon as the words leave my mouth, I realize how weirdly it came out. I feel my face heat up, but he laughs along.
Thank goodness
"I am aren't I?" he says, smiling. "But same to you too," he adds, making me blush harder.
"By the way, it wasn't like I was going to slap her or anything," I say changing the topic.
"Who knows? Maybe you were. Girls can be mean," he replies. I glare at him before he laughs.
The bell rings again and I watch as people start walking to their next class.
"Break's over, I'm guessing?" he asks. I nod. "So," he says unsurely, "What class do we have?"
"Math," I reply, pointing towards the math hall.
"I don't like math," he says with a scrunched up nose.
"Tell me about it," I mumble.
He follows my lead and we go to our math class--which is my least favorite class.
Math surprisingly went by quickly and it was way more fun since I had someone to talk to.
The lunch bell rang and I take Will to the cafeteria and sit at my usual table with Kate. Will takes a seat next to me and I tell him he can go sit with other people if he wants to, but he doesn't move. Even when people ask him to join them, he would just wave them off and say "next time".
Soon, the bell rings again and then we make our way to history class. History would probably be my favorite subject, only if Celine wasn't in that class.
Also, to make things worse, Anthony Smith is in that class.
Anthony Smith is on the football team. He isn't the star of the team, but he is the best friend of the quarterback, Nate Simmons. Apparently Anthony has always had a crush on me since 5th grade, but it might be just a rumor. I think he's sweet and nice, but he is a jock. I obviously do not fit in with his group. I still kept my promise on no distractions, but sometimes I have to admit that he is pretty cute. But I hate how he's not only in my history class, but also in my math class, since we have seating arrangements made by the teacher, Ms. Silver put him as my math partner for now. In history class, Anthony sits pretty far away from me and I am thankful for it. Pretty much every week he'd ask me if I want to hang out sometime. It sucks because every time I would have to make up some excuse. I think he's too popular and his group and my group do not mix, especially because he's friends with Celine. Going out with him would be too big of a distraction and a risk, but I guess being friends with him would be alright.
