WARNING: this book is filled with *but are not limited to*: horrible plot, grammar/spelling mistakes, bad writing, and much more. I am currently working with a close friend on a rewritten version of this story (one that is more relatable, realistic, and better). I will be tagging her account and linking that book when it finally gets on Wattpad, and will leave this first draft here for you all to enjoy (or not)! (Sept. 2020)
tbh I wasn't even going to have an epilogue. I was going to just have it end with her presentation, but then I saw/read so many people shipping them to a point where it's unhealthy...so here ya go ;)
If you would rather have no epilogue--then just don't read it lol
START THE SONG BEFORE READING PLEASE. THIS IS THE SAME SONG USED IN THE TRAILER. (but this is the original version)
The Scientist- Coldplay
Btw thanks for getting SLH to (almost) 50,000 reads. (we're at 48.9K) It means a lot :)
Epilogue
Just a few weeks ago, I celebrated my 20th birthday—alone.
My past birthdays were spent differently—but at the end, I always felt alone because it was always lacking someone's presence.
On my 17th birthday: I stayed at home—crying in the corner of my room after a long stressful day. That was my most painful birthday because Will was somewhere out in the world, away from me.
18th birthday: I went out on a dinner date with Anthony—as my official boyfriend.
19th birthday: I revisited my hometown and had dinner with my parents, my eyes never leaving the house across from mine—even though the house now has a 'for sale' sign on the front lawn.
I met up with Kate, who was also visiting home, shortly after and had to explain to her how Anthony and I didn't work out because I couldn't love him the way he wished I would.
My 20th birthday was just another lonely birthday—where my thoughts kept trailing back to Will.

I keep my hands on the steering wheel and drive into the school parking lot.
After I park the car, I reach over to the passenger side and grab my book bag.
I finally ditched my old high school backpack and traded it in for a new book purse for college.
During my senior year, I've been admitted into four colleges.
I ended up deciding to go to Princeton, which was my first choice.
Ever since I've been distraction-free at high school, I put most of my focus on academics, making sure that I will do well in school as well as get into good colleges.
I remember once that Will told me his dream school was Princeton—but that's definitely not why I decided to come here.
I did a college tour here during the summer before senior year and figured out why he loved this school so much.
I found myself loving it as well.
I've been here at this school for over a year, sharing a dorm with my roommate, Megan.
When I came here, I realized that every single student here has a story to tell—just like me.
There are lonely nights in my dorm where I would just lay in bed, wondering how he's doing.
