I walked up the sidewalk to the apartment building. I looked down at my phone. "Oh god it's 2am?"

"But what about mommy? She's still sleeping. What if she wakes up and gets worried?" It was Hani.

I leaned against the wall next to the stairs.

"It's fine, she won't worry." A man's voice said.

He came down the stairs, dragging Hani along passed me.

"Hey."

He turned around and I punched him in the face. He let go of Hani.

I picked her up and took off up the stairs.

"Let me go, who are you?" Hani started crying.

I shook my hood off as I ran. "It's Auntie Momi. I missed you so much Hani."

"Auntie Momi, you're back." She clung to me.

I heard footsteps coming closer. I opened the door to Cheyanne's apartment and got in, locking the door. "Hani go get your mom and then call the police."

She nodded and took off.

I reached my hand into the jar of fake little river rocks. I pulled out a revolver and threw the front door open.

He stood there.

"Get the fuck out of here or I'll kill you." I pointed the gun at him.

"And who the fuck are you?" He came closer.

"The aunt of the girl you were about to kidnap. What about you asshat?"

"Hani's father."

"You mean you're the fuck up that left her to raise my precious niece alone?" I stepped towards him.

"Momi don't shoot him." Cheyanne spoke.

He grabbed the gun from me and it went off. I stepped in the apartment and grabbed the jar of rocks. I smashed it in the side of his head. He fell unconscious.

"Cheyanne are you ok?" I asked.

Hani grabbed my leg. "Auntie Momi you're hurt."

"What?" I looked down at my right arm. "Omgwaydnaykmkk? Cha Cha bought me this shirt."

"We need to get you to a hospital."

"God Jay's going to kill me." I fell back into the door frame. I heard sirens in the background as I passed out.

"Auntie Momi!!"
