I'm awake when the world is half asleep,
If there's one word that can describe the way I feel it's incomplete.
I'm smiling to keep the tears from falling,
My mind and heart feels like they're brawling.
It's there in the sky where our moments are dying,
It's at three A.m in the morning where I'm in the dark crying.
Your mistakes were matched by my perfection and you felt loved,
But it all ended and now it's like a mystery left unsolved.
Even the heavens cried and hell broke apart when you shattered the glass,
We're in the present but I'll always dwell in the past.
The mirror lost my reflection and I lost all hope,
Even the words meant nothing when ever I spoke.
I'm at war with the silence but can't handle the noise,
Maybe because of you leaving blades are my toys.
It's true you can't kill something that'll never die,
But I fell for you and that baby is no lie.
