The truth hurts for a while,
But what hurts forever is a lie.
Taste your words before spitting them out,
But silence is the loudest shout.
Words of a lie can never be replaced,
But silence covers it like a loud bass.
A lie can last a lifetime,
But silence can draw my lifeline.
Silence is the loudest cry,
But can fall prey to a lie.
You see lies can cover the truth,
But silence that starts at the root.
Silence once told a lie we'll bring people to their knees,
But lie wanted to do as he so please.
Silence can't kill you but a lie, a lie can,
Silence can't hurt but a lie can mess with your plan.
Silence is more silent in the heart,
But a lie can rip you apart.
But the silence will be broken,
And no more lies will be spoken.
