Moments In Time.

I watch my world fall apart the day my love left me,
I could still remember the long walks upon the beach and sunsets we shared together that still makes me happy.
We were perfect like the white clouds in the skies above,
We were two strangers bonded and brought together by love.

I could still remember your smile and the way you laughed and made me happy when I cried,
But I took all that for granted and was to ashamed to lose my pride.
I remembered the first gift you bought me for my birthday,
I miss the way you hold me I must say.

I could still remember the first day you said I love you and I said I love you to,
That was the best day of my life and a dream came through.
It still replays in my head every night I lay in bed and look at the stars,
But now all I have are broken memories and lined scars.

Now all I do is lay in bed and cry and think of all the times I tried,
But the only words I can think of is when you said goodbye.
So, in the end we did stand the test of time,
You may not be in my arms but you’ll always be mine
