When most people hear of the word Ballet, or Ballerina, they think of a girl in a pretty pink tutu turning around in circles. But that does not mean it's true. When a girl puts on a fancy tutu for the first time, and walks on that stage, she is no longer herself. Her face is a mask and her body works like a piece of art.
Let me explain to you how the life of a dancer really works. And no, I am not going to pull out the drama about glass in dance shoes or any of the other classic stuff dancers are rumored to do to each other.
Instead I will tell you a story about a girl who started out like any other girl in the ballet world:
It all begins with a little girl asking her mother to sign her up for dance lessons. In this case the girl is named Rosie.
