---Asif's POV---

"They'll be here in a half hour," Dad said.

Yep, dad was back home. He's normally here, once in a blue moon.

"But she's not here!" I said in frustration.

"Relax. Haven't seen anyone miss their wife this much," he said.

He looked at mom while saying it. Just get along for the love of God! Kanika was right, these two will never get along.

"I'm going upstairs," I said.

I had my window open and heard a bell on a bike, like the one that bike riders use as a horn.

I looked out, because I hadn't heard one of those in ages.

I didn't know whether to laugh or faceplam. See she would being doing something like this.

Well, at least she made it

Well, at least she made it. Just don't fall flat on your face.

I ran downstairs.

"Is that her?" Dad asked looking out the window.

"Yep. That's her," I said.

I didn't know if he wanted me to happy about that or not. I still wanted to laugh.

"Hhmm," he said and left.

I waited for the doorbell to ring and opened it.

"Damn it! I'm still early, even in the bike," she said.

"We, good to see you too," I said.

"If I remember correctly, I'm not talking to you after the way you've been behaving," she said.

Dad walked and she looked confused.

"Dad, this your daughter-in-law," I said.

"Hhmmm," he said and left again.

"What's up with this family?" She asked herself.

I sighed. There was no point.

"Where's the monster of the house?" She said.

I knew she was referring to my mom.

"Right in front of me," I said.

She smirked and left.

A few minutes later her parent's showed up. I took several deep breaths before going.

I had to sit with everyone, but where the hell did she go?

"So how's she treating everything and everyone?" Her dad asked.

"Can I just say, I've been here for a little bit and I can already tell that she's a fun person. I wanted exactly her for my son," my dad said.

I was definitely not expecting that.

"Some of us end up with people who are fake people," he said.

OH MY GOD! STOP IT! GROW UP!!

"So true," Kanika said walking in with tea.

Was that meant for me or my mother?

I'm just going to ignore it.

Everyone switched the topic. I was surprised to see how easily my dad got along with her.

She got a phone call and excused herself.

---Kanika's POV---

After talking to his father, I was so happy to see that there's a normal person in the house.

I left when my phone rang.

"Hello," I said.

"Kanika, you have to come back here," my friend said.

She was the one who I hung out with the most during the baby shower.

"What happen?" I asked.

"Her baby," she said.

"What happen?" I asked.

"It's in serious condition and doctors are saying it's hard to tell he will survive," she said.

"I can't get a ticket right away," I said.

"Try," she said and hung up.

I went to the room that I stayed in the night he slapped me.

I found a plane ticket and called for an uber. I ran out of the house, with only the clothes that I had left here.

---Asif's POV---

"You go and call her," her mom said.

I nodded and left. She ran out of the house with a bag, into an Uber.

Well, there she goes again. It was fun while it lasted. She's always having to go somewhere..

"I don't think I can call her," I said.

"What was up with that? I'm so sorry about her," her dad said.

"It's okay. We will figure it out," I said.
