i was concentrating on driving to the lake until i felt bryce nudge my side. i quickly looked at him & saw him pointing to the back seat. i turned around & saw kayla fast asleep. i started laughing while shaking my head. we've been driving for only 15 minutes. "man i can't wait for the surprise," bryce whispered. "yeah , she's going to be so shocked," i replied.
ab 30 minutes away from the lake was a small beach. bryce & i woke up early & drove over there to set things up for a surprise he's planning on for kayla. im happy bryce likes her because it makes him happy but ik he still likes clarissa so it kinda confuses me.
"hey man , can i ask you somethin ?" i asked bryce. "yeah bro," he replied. "do you like kayla or clarissa ?" no reply. i took a quick glance at bryce who was now looking down & twiddling w his thumbs. "uhm ... nvm , sorry i brought it up man," i said , to make bryce feel better. "no it's all cool , it's just ... idk who i like ..." bryce continued still looking down. "i want to say both , but i just met kayla , & i do know a lot more ab clarissa. but kayla has something different ab her. idk man. if i say both & kayla finds out , she's going to question me," bryce said.
*KAYLAS POV*
you know when you're asleep but you can still hear everything around you ? yeah , that's happening to me rn. i was eavesdropping on tayler & bryce's conversation.
"-if i say both & kayla finds out , she's going to question me ..." i heard bryce say.
if i find out ab what ? both what ? question him ab what ? bryce & tayler are keeping a secret from me ... ?
*BRYCE POV*
we arrived at the lake. i turned around to see kayla was still asleep , i looked at tayler & then the steering wheel. tayler knew exactly what i was talking ab. he honked the horn & kayla woke up screaming. tayler & i just sat there laughing. "why did i agree to come to the lake ?" she asked , giving us a dirty look. after i finally stopped laughing , we got out of the car & took a long look at the beautiful lake. "amazing," kayla said. "well , while y'all losers keep staring , imma be swimming !!" tayler yelled while taking his shirt off & jumping into the lake. kayla & i just stood there laughing. i stopped & glanced at kayla. she glanced back at me. "wanna go swimming ?" i asked kayla. "well duh , what else are we suppose to do here ?" she giggled. i took my shirt off & saw kayla taking her cover up off. i didn't notice i was staring until kayla snapped her fingers in front of me. "your eyes stay up here buddy," she chuckled while pointing two fingers at her eyes. "sorry," i laughed. we both jumped into the lake & swam for awhile. i got out of the lake & sat down on my towel & saw that it was 2 o'clock. "HEY TAYLER !!" i yelled. "WHAT ?!" he yelled back. i gave him a signal that we had to go. he gave me a thumbs up. i saw him talking to kayla then got out of the lake w her. "hey what's going on ?" she asked. "nothing , we're just gonna eat for a little bit then go home," i said , trying to hold in my goofy smile. she nodded & we went inside the car & drove off. i almost forgot i had to blind fold kayla. "hey kayla , do you mind wearing this blind fold ? it's for the restaurant we're going to , because it's amazing & i don't think you've ever been there," i said handing her the blind fold. "uhm okay ?" she looked at me concerned but put the blind fold on anyways. around 30 minutes later , we arrived to the beach. tayler led kayla out of the car. "im gonna get your dress & take you to a bathroom. i need you to change & then put your blindfold back on. ill lead you to the restaurant from there," tayler said holding onto kaylas shoulders. "this is so weird," kayla said reaching her hands out. tayler took her to the bathroom & i ran to where the table was set up. i looked at it to see if anybody messed w it while we were gone. it was perfect. i ran to the bathroom to change into my tux real quick & ran back to the table. i saw tayler walking towards the beach w kayla still blindfolded. i hope she likes this surprise.
*KAYLAS POV*
i was ab to lose my sh*t w tayler. i ran into 2 poles & tripped over 10 big rocks from having tayler as my guide. "we're almost there," tayler said , leading me to wherever the hell we were going. i then felt sand in between my toes. wtf ? "we're hereeeeee," tayler said excitedly & took my blindfold off. OMG WHAT i was looking at a beautiful , candle lit dinner on the beach w a handsome , well suited bryce hall standing next to it. wow. this is really happening.

OMG WHAT IS THIS ?!" i screamed in shock. "mmm just a lil something," bryce said , walking up to me w a rose. "kayla , will you accept this rose ?" he laughed , imitating one of my favorite shows , The Bachelor. i started to laugh w him. "of course," i smiled. he handed me the rose & then took my hand & led me to the beautiful table & pulled my chair out for me to sit. "wait , what ab tayler ?" i asked looking around for tayler. "he's gonna go hang out w his family for awhile & then come pick us up," bryce said holding my hand. "okay," i smiled. bryce & i talked for hours. we didn't even notice the time. i told him ab me moving to california & then he started talking ab tour. sh*t. "yeah , im coming by san antonio on the 22nd," bryce said. "oh really ?" i lied acting like i didn't know. it's crazy how he doesn't know im a fan , i can't tell him though. he nodded & then it got quiet. "hey , wanna walk down the beach ?" bryce asked. "yeah sure," i smiled getting up out of my seat. bryce grabbed my hand & interlocked our fingers together & we started walking down the beautiful beach. after an hour of more talking & laughing , tayler texted bryce if we were ready to go home. "yes ..." bryce read aloud while texting tayler back. "sh*t , it's 6:44," bryce looked at me. "ughh i gotta call my mom," i said. i called my mom assuring her i was fine & that i would be home soon. after that , bryce & i stood there in the middle of the beach , gazing into each others eyes , his hands holding mine , man this felt like a dream come true. bryce then lifted my chin up & gave me a long passionate kiss. of course i kissed back. all i felt was sparks , butterflies in my stomach , passion. his kisses were breathtaking. "are you guys gonna be like this every time y'all hang out ?" tayler interrupted , breaking the kiss. we turned to tayler & started laughing. "come on you guys," tayler smirked & walked off to the car. bryce looked at me & smiled. i smiled back. he kissed my forehead & we walked to the car & left the gorgeous scene.
