It had been a week since the incident and Lucas hasn't been coming to school. Gelo seemed quiet, while Mickey and Laverne was back to normal. It had been a week, and I am still wondering about what kind of person Lucas really is?
I had been a week and I'm still thinking about what he said to me...
"Love hurts.. It causes anger, jealousy, obsession. Why don't you love me back?"
I can still clearly see how he looked at me and I can't help but wonder, what was he hiding? What was his story?
It was obvious that I've been looking for him the whole time. He scared me to death but I can't seem to hate him. I know that deep inside his dark and stone cold eyes, there's warmth.
And again... What the hell. Because it had just been a week and I can't seem to stop thinking about him. It scares me.
"Huy, ilang slides na yung nalipat na Sir! Why aren't you taking down notes?" Laverne whispered.
Napatingin naman ako sa powerpoint presentation at napaguntong hininga na lang dahil mukhang malayo na nga yung nadiscuss. Napahilamos ako sa mukha ko dahil ilang araw na akong ganito.
"Pwede bang picturan ko na lang yung notes mo mamaya?" I whispered back.
"Sige. Ikaw kasi eh. You look bothered. Mind to tell me what's going on?" She asked.
"It's complicated Lav."
"Ms. Harrison and Ms. Del Valle? Would mind of you could share with us a little something of your conversation?" Nagulat kami nung biglang magsalita si Sir. Nakatingin din yung buong klase saamin.
"It's nothing Sir. Sorry po." Sabay naming sabi.
"Ms. Del Valle, what ever is going on, please do not let it affect your studies. Your quizzes these past few days were lower than I expected." He said.
"I'm sorry Sir." I said.
I sighed. The discussion went on but I can't seem to focus. After class ay pumunta ako sa lockers para ilagay yung mga gamit na hindi ko naman kailangan para bukas. Then I heard someone.
"So? Nakakuha ba kayo ng pera? How much was it?" Its Lia. I'm sure of it.
I peeked in and saw her talking to someone on the phone. Nagtago ulit ako para hindi niya mapansin, alam kong maling makinig sa usapan ng iba, pero may nagtutulak sakin na huwag umalis.
"But I clearly told you to get her! Kulang pa yang pera na yan! Mayaman ang pamilya nila Venice! They can give ransom money no matter how much it is! Dahil sa kanya nawala ang scholarship ko kaya dapat siya ang magbayad!"
Bigla akong nakaramdam ng takot. What was she talking about? Ramsom money? I should pay? Why? What?
"Hindi dapat kayo nakipag-settle! Lucas nearly killed your man! Sana kinasuhan niyo! Mga bobo!"
Lucas? Nearly killed? Did she plan all of this?!
"No. Do it again. And this time make sure na makukuha niyo talaga siya!" She shouted and ended the call.
I showed myself up to her kaya nagulat siya. Pero agad ding napalitan yung gulat niya ng nakakamatay na tingin. She's not the Lia that I know. Ibang iba siya sa Lia na nakikita namg lahat. Behind her quiet and naive aura, hides a devil.
"I guess you heard everything my dear." She said.
"W-Why? Why'd you have to do that?!" I asked, crying.
