"Thank you." I said when I've finally calmed down.

Inabutan niya ako ng isang bote ng tubig. I cried too hard kaya naparanoid siya na baka nadehydrate daw ako.

"I'm always willing Venice." He said while looking at me.

"I know, and I'll always be thankful."

Pagkasabi ko nun, saktong dumating sila Mama, Tita and Tito. They all looked so worried. I immediately stood up and hugged my Mom habang si Laverne naman ay niyakap nila Tita and Tito.

At the same time, lumabas na din yung doctor na nag-opera kay Mickey kaya naggather kami lahat sa kanya.

"H-How's my son?" Tita asked while Tito is caressing her right shoulder.

"The surgery was successful. Wala namang damage na nangyari sa buto niya sa binti, but still, we need to observe him for a few days. His nerves in his right leg are still numb at mahihirapan pa siyang maglakad kaagad. He'll recover fast, if given the proper treatment and therapy." The doctor said.

We all sighed in relief. Tito and Tita talked further with the surgeon, while Laverne went home para magpahinga. Si Mama naman ay sinettle yung hospitalization ni Lia, kaya naiwan kami ni Lucas dito.

"It's a good thing right?" Tanong niya.

Nagtataka naman akong tumingin sa kanya, "What's a good thing?" I asked.

"What the doctor said? Is it a good thing?" He worriedly asked.

"Of course it is! Don't tell me.." I stopped for a while and smiled while looking at his creased face, "Hindi mo naintindihan yung sinabi ng doctor?"

"What? No. I mean. It's just. Urgh. Nevermind." He said.

Natawa naman ako. He's just so cute. He really makes me smile easily, like nothing bad happened? Ang dali gumagaan ng loob ko kapag kasama ko siya. Imagine Lucas, a cold and tough guy, looking so confused and problematic dahil sa statement na hindi niya naintidihan? How cute is that?!

"You know, Lucas, you can always tell me anything." I said, joking, "And I mean anything. Be it your feelings, past or even your future plans." I said getting serious.

Bigla siyang tumayo kaya tumayo din ako.

"Why? May nasabi ba ako?" I asked.

"Wala, I'm sorry. But I'll try Venice. I promise I'll try." He said.

I looked at him with creased forehead.

"You don't have to try Lucas. You just have to trust me." I said then smiled.

Ngumiti din siya tapos niyakap ako. Nagulat pa nga ako dahil bigla niya na lang akong hinila for a hug eh. We stayed like that for a while, magkayakap sa gitna ng hospital corridor. Though maraming dumadaan at nakakakita, we didn't care because it felt comfortable. It felt relaxing.

If I could I just stay inside his arms. Pero hindi pwede. He let go and smiled at me.

"I love you." He said while looking straight into my eyes.

But instead of saying the same thing, I just smiled. He smiled too, and I'm glad na naintindihan niya ako. Masyadong mabilis kasi lahat eh. The last time I know, I just came from a heartbreak that surprisingly, right now doesn't matter to me anymore. What I'm feeling for Lucas is something worth waiting for and I know it. Natatakot lang ako na baka kasi mawala kaagad.
