I woke up without Jason. His body was usually wrapped up to mine when I woke. Which was strange.

"Jason?" I called out.

"Yeah baby I'm down stairs. I'll be up in a minute."

"Don't take too long!" I laughed.

"Ok baby!" He called up.

When did he start calling me baby!?

I'm sure if he proposed his love this might mean a change could be coming.

I smiled to myself.

Mrs.Calory.

Before I could continue my fantasy something caught in my stomach and before I knew it I was at the toilet throwing up.

Had I had a drink last night? No. Could it have been the cake? I'm sure I cooked it correctly, so it couldn't be the eggs. Maybe I'm just getting sick? Yeah probably.

"Carper?"

"Yes, just a second." I flushed and rushed out to find Jason with a plate of breakfast.

"You didn't?" I smiled.

"Breakfast in bed, ma' lady?"

I laughed at his silliness.

"Well of course, sir."

He ended up feeding most of my food to me and making a mess on the bed... well before we got messy.

And the knock on the door forced us to finally get out of bed.

"Hello lazy bums. I brought some cake," Maria snaked her way into the house.

"Well hello, Maria. I wasn't expecting company."

"It looks like neither of you were, ha." She said looking at Jason who also had his pjs on.

Cake...oh The memories...

"So what were you guys doing before I came," she smiled innocently.

"Eating break fast," Jason replied with a chuckle.

"What did you guys have? Because you might not want the cake right now if you ate too much."

"Carper had some eggs and I had Carper," he replied casually.

"JASON!" I smacked him on the head.

"It's ok Carper, I already knew." Maria laughs.

Jason kisses me before leaving the room.

"So, he said it?" She asks leaning closer to me.

"Yes, he doesn't know that I know but I do remember him telling me."

"How did he say it?"

"He said 'Yes Carper, I love you." I smiled.

"You said it back?"

"Well yes, yesterday-" I choked.

The feeling of vomit rising had me running to the sink.

"Carper?"

The second time today.. right in front of Maria.

"Oh god, Carper are you alright?"

"Yes I'm sorry, I think I caught a bug."

"A bug?"

"Yes."

"Carper?"

"What?"

"Have you told Jason?"

"Why would I? I'm just sick."

"Did a baby ever cross your mind?" She asks nervously.

"No, Jason told me I couldn't get pregnant from him. He said I couldn't be."

Her face was what got me scared.

"Maria, what are you trying to say?"

"Why would he tell you that? Was it because of the accident?"

"Well yes bu-"

"That was way long ago Carper. The doctor said he MIGHT not be able to ever make babies. That is why his wife left him. She wanted babies and he couldn't give that to her. But that was so long ago. It could still be possible."

"He had a wife..."

"Oh my, he didn't tell you the whole story. I'm so Sorry! That was not my part to tell. I should be going. I'm sorry."

She left out the door in a hurry.

I sat thinking of how hard that must have been for him but also why he didn't tell me. How I could possibly have a growing baby in me.

"Carper?"

"Hmm,"

"How come Maria left so-" he looked at my streaming tears.

"Why didn't you tell me? Did I not deserve to know why your such an ass all the time! Did I not deserve to know why you bought me! Why?"

"Carper I..I didn't know how to tell you."

"Yeah well I think it's time that I bought my freedom from you. I've done everything you've asked and more. I don't belong to you."

"Ok," his eyes watered.

"I guess I couldn't help but fall for someone I can't even trust."

I packed my stuff and finally walked out the door of the house that I wanted to escape from. The door that I let entrap me for so long.
