My sides were heaving, and I almost collapsed from lack of air by the time I reached the Starbucks on the next block over. I had just ran away from my boyfriend, and more importantly, my home. The only thing I had even managed to bring with me was my cellphone.

The doorbell jingled as I walked through the entrance and reached into my pockets. Luckily, I had stashed a five dollar bill in there before practice tonight, so I had just enough to buy a grande frappe.

"Double chocolately chip frappe, please," I smiled, placing the bill on the granite countertop. The employee smiled at me and then turned around to begin making my frappe.

I leaned against the countertop, brushed some beads of sweat from my forehead, and sighed. I really needed some girl time with Peyton and Eliza right now. But what was I supposed to do? Call them in the middle of our practice and invite them to Starbucks with me? Of course not!

"That'll be $4.79." The man said, handing me my frappe. I smiled at him and placed the bill in his hand. Then turning on my heel I called, "Keep the change," and sat down in my favorite corner table. But this time, I was by myself.
