Jacks POV
It was the morning after the surgery on Y/Ns bones, dozens of nurses asked us if we were okay and if there was anything we needed, but we were fine. We chose to wait overnight because leaving Y/N alone was something we refused to do out here in Florida. She knows her way around Los Angeles back at home but here, she wouldn't know who to go to other than her uncle and look what's happened to him. Nobody knew how long David was going to be in jail for, but god we hoped that it would be for a very long time.
The doctor finally walked into the waiting room where we had been sat all night. Our eyes had become baggy from forcing ourselves to stay awake in case anything happened. The doctor walked from the end of the hallway towards us. "We've finished the surgery, if you'd like to follow me." So we did, we followed him through the twisted hallways until we gradually reached the recovery ward yet again and turned into room 62. The doctor held out his arm, gesturing us to go through the door first. We all entered the room, looking at our feet but when we looked up, we saw something we thought we would never see ever again.
Y/N was awake, and best of all, she was smiling.
We all had a moment of silence looking at her in disbelief. She began to tear up.
"I thought I would never see you again" she said laughing quietly while crying.
We ran towards her, and gave her a gentle hug because she just came out of surgery, but I missed being able to hear her voice. She was safe, she was alive. When we broke out of the hug, she wiped her eyes with one of her arms that hadn't been given surgery. "I heard what you guys said, when I was in the coma and.. I could never be mad at you guys, I'm sorry I put you into this mess, but I know that we can recover from this"
"This was never your fault Y/N, if anything, it was ours, after this we are going straight home, back to LA"
"But.. what about your tour?" She said slowly with her head slightly tilted to the left.
"Before we say, this was never your fault it was our personal decision" I took a deep breath, looking at her face as she awaited an answer patiently in her hospital bed.
"We.. we cancelled the tour. Because of that, our label dropped us, but please don't blame this on yourself, we made the choice as we thought it was the best choice for our future"
"No.. no you shouldn't have done that"
"Enough of that.. we are just glad you're safe, the doctor told us that you were so close to death, and if we didn't find you then you would probably have died not long later"
"I don't remember much from yesterday.." she said quietly, still trying to recover her voice after she lost it.
"Could you.. if you don't mind.. tell us a bit about what happened when you got here?"
"I'll tell you from what I can remember.""Basically, when I landed here, David had sent a taxi for me at the airport so obviously I got in because you guys wanted me to go there. I think that I was there for a day or two and everything was pretty normal but then I woke up in a hospital, I don't remember what happened to get me there, but it was the same hospital as this one. Then when I got back to the house, I was thrown down the basement stairs by maids and locked in there until you guys came looking for me, must've been like 2 weeks, so I really am lucky to be alive"
I was so shocked to hear her story from when we sent her on the plane, it was one of the most dumbest decisions we have ever made as a group. She tried to force a little smile once she had finished her experience while we all looked at her in disbelief that she was treated that way.
"Well I'm glad tha.."
The doctor knocked on the door while I was mid-sentence. "Come in!" Corbyn shouted.
"I'm sorry to interrupt, but we need to take a little survey with Y/N, just to see where she is at medically, you can sit in the chairs over there if you'd like" he points to the chair next to the beds as he approaches Y/N.
We all sit down and listen to the conversation, it was just general questions like 'What is your pain on a scale of 1-10?' and 'do you have any of these symptoms?'
He finishes writing down Y/Ns answers.
"Okay, so I'll just go check these answers with the other doctors to estimate when you are able to leave" the doctor informs us as he closes the door and heads to the reception desk."Are you able to move anything Y/N?" Daniel questions.
"I can move pretty much everything, it's just I'm not as strong as I used to be, doctors say that I'm recovering very fast so I guess that's a good sign" she chuckles.Y/Ns POV
I'm so happy that these guys adopted me, out of all the people that they could've chosen, they picked me. They are better guardians than my parents ever were, if I were in this situation at home, my parents wouldn't come back from their holiday in Spain if they ever did arrive, but look at these guys, they cancelled a tour just to make sure that I was safe and so that they could keep me. They could be building up their career to become superstars, but instead, they were sat beside me smiling in a hospital room.
"Quick question" I asked as I tilted my head towards the guys who were talking to each other about how we get home etc.
"Yes Y/N?" Zach answers.
"What did happen to David?"
"He was sent to prison, we don't know for how long, but we hope it is for a very long time" Zach answers again. The doctor knocks on the door yet again but this time he walks straight in with a folder.
"Good news, you should be fit enough to leave either tonight or the early hours of tomorrow morning"
"Awesome!" Jonah speaks out.
"However, the drugs are still in your system, the ones that we didn't give you, so if you ever feel ill, let any doctor know""If you didn't drug me... then who did?!"
