"Oh my gosh Y/N, I never thought I would see you again"

Who knew that one sentence could stay repeating in your mind for so long that time freezes around you. The words couldn't leave my head as I stared at the figure in front of me. She was stood next to the bus, dressed in a velvet black dress and wearing red shoes, as if she were going to a special event. The security didn't do anything about her, she could've been a crazed fan that was about to attack me for all they know, but they didn't move, they didn't react, they carried on organising the bus for our departure. My mouth dried up and the hairs on my arms had risen, for the figure standing in front of me was my mother.
My own mother.

I didn't know how to react just looking at her, the sight made me feel sick to my stomach. She was said to have died in the place crash, so how is she here?
She began walking towards me, arms out-stretched. She brought me in for a long hug whilst talking to me quietly.
"How have you been?" She asked me casually as she broke away from our hug (that I urgently wanted freedom from).
"I've been... good. Yeah I've been good, um"
"I know what you're thinking, how am I alive and whatnot"
"Well yeah.." I said confusingly.
"Let's go back home, I'll tell you about what happened" she placed her hand on my arm tightly like how a mother would drag her child by the arm when they do something wrong. I snatched my arm back quickly.
"Y/N, we're going home. You can't stay here, didn't you see the news?" She said calmly, trying to keep her voice quiet to avoid causing attention.
"No I didn't see the news" I replied sarcastically.
"Honey, the people who adopted you are suspected criminals, they've been trying to gain your trust, can't you see? I'm trying to help you"
"What? They're not criminals!" I said as I turned back to look at the bus.
"We need to go." She said sharply, obviously trying to prove her point.
"I'm not dead, if these guys were criminals, I would be dead. I'm not going anywhere" I snapped at my mother, her eyes opened widely and started to fill with tears.
I turned around and walked towards the bus, quickly clambering up the stairs without looking back. I did my best to forget this one short moment with the person that brought me up as a baby, I moved on with my life surprisingly easily, my emotions were cold. The boys looked at me from the back of the bus.

"What was that all about?" Zach asked.
"Oh.. it was nothing" I replied calmly.
"Are you sure? she looked pretty serious" Jonah questioned me.
"It's fine, trust me it's fine"
I knew that the boys didn't believe me because they looked at each other after I said it was fine. It was easy to move on from though. Our bus departed from the venue and I looked out of the window to see that my mother was nowhere to be seen, she didn't even try to take me off of the bus surprisingly, although I wasn't complaining, I've already had enough drama in my life. Our next location for performing was Chicago, we had to travel back to LA in order to get to LAX. Of course.. we were late.

The bus pulled up to the airport 30 minutes later than expected. A mission impossible scene had been set as we ran out of the bus to grab our suitcases. We ran as fast as we could towards the entrance of LAX so that we could check in before everyone else, we spared a few minutes but as the doors opened in front of us, there was a long line of people. We had no choice but to wait in this line, I didn't mind it though because it was nice to have some more catch up time with the boys. Jack stood with a checkered neck pillow around his neck, resting on his black designer hoodie. Zach also had a neck pillow but instead he was wearing a blue hoodie. Jonah was wearing sunglasses and a black shirt despite the cold morning air gushing through the doors. Corbyn was wearing a sweater and Daniel was wearing a hoodie also. I could feel myself swaying from side to side, drifting in and out of sleep. Jonah giggled. "You tired?"
"Yup" I replied quietly with my eyes slowly opening and closing.
Jonah left the line abruptly, leaving us confused. He came back with a large metal trolley used for carrying suitcases, instead he brought it for me to sleep on. It wasn't the comfiest thing ever, but the boys gave me their spare blankets and Jack gave me his hoodie, leaving him in a black shirt, much like Jonahs. I awoke to the noise of tourists, frantically trying to defeat the airport. I sat up, the boys were nowhere to be seen. I kept on turning around until I could hear a faint laugh behind me, they were just walking around the trolley in the different direction I looked, of course they recorded the whole thing and posed it on their Instagram story. "Did you really think we would leave you?" Jack grinned.
"At this point, I have no clue what will happen in my life"
"She has a point" Daniel grinned.
We made our way to security and to lighten the morning mood, Corbyn sprinted ahead and shouted "CAN I GET A HOYYAAA" in the centre of LAX security. It was a risky move but surprisingly he got few responses. The boys were ridiculously good at getting objects in and out of security buckets, usually it would take me 5x longer just to get through security. As we walked through the scanners one at a time, we each made it through and... then there was Zach. Zach being Zach, he was stopped for wearing a golden watch through a scanner just when I thought that we all made it. I laughed at him as he had to be checked for weapons by airport staff, the smirk on his face made the moment even funnier. We made our way out of security and headed to the terminals.
