Author's Notes

Hello! This is a collection of all the author's notes I had at the end of each chapter. As I edit the book, I am removing these ANs from the chapters themselves, as unless you were reading as I uploaded they don't make much sense. Some of the dates for each chapter might be inaccurate, but that's because I half-edited a few things as I wrote the first draft on random days. I am putting them here, though, in case anyone was interested in looking at them again, but mainly for me to re-read as I am a sentimental mess. Woo!

Anyway, they will be transferred to here as I edit, which is why they won't all be here at once. Thanks for bothering to read! - KM

1 - Changing Faces (2nd July 2016)

Well, that was my first attempted chapter of a fanfiction. How was it? I promise there'll be more stuff happening later, but for now I'm just trying to sort the scene out in my mind for how things have changed since the Battle. - KM

2 - Nightmares, Daydreams (3rd July 2016)

Well, that was a very long chapter! (Edit: oh honey, you have no idea what a long chapter is) I am glad I got that one done, though. I always thought that the characters would have changed more as a result of the Battle and all the deaths - they are just kids! I think Hermione's dreams have stopped her from developing into a confident person as she is terrified of what happened at Malfoy Manor, and desperately wants things to be how they were before it all changed. I'll try to update again in the next week or so. - KM

3 - Attention-Seeker's Detention (7th July 2016)

Well that was another long chapter. Sorry for the lack of Dramione action so far, but I'm trying to ease their relationship along carefully. I just don't feel it's realistic for them to leap into each other's arms immediately, and I think it would take a while for the trust to form. Should I keep the chapters this sort of length, or make them shorter? Anyway, I'll try to update again soon. - KM

4 - Psychologic (14th July 2016)

Another long chapter, and I'm sorry it took longer to upload. I was having problems with my keyboard, and I couldn't start until Tuesday. Anyway, I'm going to start shifting the plot on more soon as it's quite slow-going at this point, but I'll continue it soon. - KM

5 - Time Out (17th July 2016)

I'm trying to get their relationship going a little more, as I want the Dramione stuff to start coming in soon. All the same, I enjoy just imagining what Hogwarts will be like now that everything's changed. I'll probably update again in the next few days. - KM

6 - Wounds and Duty (6th August 2016)

Well, that was a hard chapter to write. I had got so far into it when Wattpad crashed on me and I had to re-write the whole scene in the Tower! Their relationship is progressing into trust, and they will both develop more later on. I'm now in my summer holidays so I'll try to update more frequently, but I'm going abroad for two weeks so I may not write for a while when that happens. - KM

7 - Ink Stains (17th August 2016)

Sorry that took such a long time to upload. I have been on holiday for the last fortnight and had it partially written up before I went into lazy pre-holiday mode and told myself I could finish it when I got back. As a result I can't really remember what I properly had in mind for this chapter, but I know I got the gist of it pretty much right. I will go back to my normal uploading schedule - every 3-7 days - and I hope you enjoyed that chapter. - KM

8 - Pain and Suffering (20th August 2016)

That was a slightly different chapter to how I had planned for it to go. Oh well! I got a copy of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child today... I was finished by 4pm this afternoon, and I was trying to tell my family how amazing it was without spoiling anything. It's so good!! I'll try to update again soon, so I'll see you then. - KM
