We all ate dinner in silence. Mom ate really fast and excused herself, Rylan, Dottie, and Daniel didn't even finish before they left one by one, not saying anything but-
"I lost my appetite."
"Me too."
"I.. need to feed my cat."
They don't even have a cat!
Finally, it was just Aaron and I, we both ate until both our plates were empty, and cleared everyone else's plates.
"That was, awkward." I said, trying to make conversation.
"Mhm." Aaron said, placing dishes in the dishwasher.

The sun was setting, and we both got to bed.
"Goodnight, Aaron."
"Sweet dreams, Babe."
And after Aaron turned off the lights, we fell asleep in each other's arms.
