Chapter 10

Alex's pov~

We are at the hospital still waiting for Rains release form as she sleeps. The guys took Tyler back to the bus and the doctor came in so i could sign the papers. i pick Rain up gently the nurse carrying her medicine i lay her in her bunk and put her medicine in the bathroom.

The next morning i wake up and go check on Rain who is still sleeping. "Rain wake up time to take your medicine"

Rains pov~

Dad wakes me up and gives me my medicine and Tyler sits next to me. we hold hands as we wait to get to the next venue.

a week later...

Tyler goes back home his grandmother needed some help it was just me, dad, and my uncles. I am currently sitting on the couch cuddling into dads side while we watch batman. I end up falling asleep.

After tour me and dad go home and see a woman standing there with suitcases in her hands. I see dad smile and run to her kissing her which makes me even more confused.

I walk up to the woman, who is really pretty shes about 5' 4" and alex looks at me smiling. "Rain i would like you to meet Lisa, my girlfriend."

I smile widely "congratulations dad" i hug lisa who gives me a huge hug in return. We all walk inside and i head up to my room and lay down.

I take out my phone and call Tyler, he doesnt pick up which isnt like him. i go downstairs and see lisa and dad in the kitchen. "hey dad im going over Tyler's"

he nods and says "text me when you get there." i nod and skate towards tyler's house. When i get there i see him talking to another girl she gets really close to him and he doesnt push her away. he smiles and kisses her.

I feel my heart break in two and tears start to fall down my cheeks "t-tyler?" i stutter.

he looks up flustered, "Shit, Rain you werent supposed to see that" he starts walking towards me when i back away.

"we're over Tyler" i look at him with tears glossing over my eyes. he starts walking towards me. "I NEVER WANT TO SEE YOU AGAIN!" i scream and skate back home locking myself in my room.

Alexs pov~

I hear Rains bedroom door slam and me and lisa rush upstairs to see whats going on. i knock "Rain? Sweetheart open up" i hear her crying and it breaks my heart.

She opens slowly and i engulf her in a hug, "he cheated again dad" i hug her tighter and lisa hugs her too.

once she calms down she falls asleep and i hold her. that prick has hurt her too many times. I head downstairs after awhile i go downstairs and call Jack.

he picks up "hello" he says in his hangover voice.

"hey its me can you come over and watch Rain? That prick Tyler hurt her again and i gotta do something" i ask him knowing he'll say yes.

"yea ill be right over" he says then hangs up.

about an half hour later Jack walks in and goes upstairs. I head out of the house.

Jacks pov~

I walk into Rain's room and hug her "that prick is never gonna see you again thats for sure" she hugs me back.

"thanks uncle Jack" she says quietly.

"were gonna go out for ice cream lets go" He jumps out of my bed quickly followed by me. she gets changed and fixes her makeup.

When we get to Baskin Robins Jack gets chocolate ice cream while I get rainbow sherbet. I happily eat my ice cream and me and Jack walk home.

The next week~ (Rains pov)

Alex signed me up for a different public school I walk in and head to the office. I get my schedule and immediately head to my locker. As im opening my locker I hear people laughing. I look towards the laughter and see a kid with dark red hair on the ground with kids throwing things at him.

I run over and yell "HEY LEAVE HIM ALONE!!!" The preppy looking people just laugh and walk away. I help the kid up "hi im Rain nice to meet you."

The boy smiles and says "hey im Johnnie thanks for helping me out there. They are a bunch of assholes" he explains to me.

"yea i understand" i smile and we walk to my locker and exchange schedules. Another guy comes up to us and he had aqua blue hair.

"Hey Johnnie whos this?" He asks in a bright chipper mood.

"Im Rain, and you are?" I ask him kinda confused.

"Oh sorry im Jake im in a band with Johnnie." (yes yes i know Johnnie guillbert and Jake Bateman but i was running out of ideas so shhhhhhh)

"Oh cool my dads in a band!" I immediately cover my mouth thinking why did I say that?!

Jake smiles "what band is he in?" I look at him then Johnnie.

"Promise to be my friend because of me and not who my dad is?" I look at the both of them. They both nod and I sigh. "My dad is Alex Gaskarth of All Time Low."

I watch their eyes pop out of their heads, and in unison they scream "SERIOUSLY!?" I nod.

After awhile homeroom ends, turns out I have every class with Johnnie and Jake except for Gym. Go figure, I hate Gym class.

After school me, Johnnie, and Jake all go over to my house and they go silent when they see my dad cooking in the kitchen. I go over and hug him and introduce him to the guys. We all go into the living room and watch home alone.

About a half hour later all I hear is "RAIN JACKS HERE!!!!" i laugh and all of us run into the kitchen and Jack picks me up hugging me tightly.

I smile " Jack these are my friends Johnnie and Jake." Jack smiles and gives them both hugs.
